Does one really need to be able to sit through decapitation videos to prove his manliness?

I know for sure that i dont need to see a slow manual decapitation. You should remove that link, its definitely bad karma.

? quoting Andrei
His chute didn't open on time, he broke his legs and fell to the ground and THEN the wind started to blow in the still airborne chute and dragged his wounded body around on the rocks.
As for the decapitation videos, there are several. One of them is extremely clear so only watch them if you have a strong stomach.
he must have suffered internal injury as well considering he vomited blood..
oooo, that video gives me the creeps.

I'm just wondering how these things can happen at all. Right; a chute not opening.. that happens some times. But why would a guy loose his jar or maybe even his head by sticking his whole upper part of the body out of a driving car? Well the question would actually be 'Why would a guy stick his head out of a driving car?'
The traindodge was quite close. Could have gone wrong. Very wrong indeed.
Why would anybody do things like that?

Andrei, the [removed] link still leads to some site. :P
What was the grey thing they filmed on the grass in the bike movie?

Hi OtZman,
It might be a tooth. Or a splintered bone? Nahhh, that would be much too gross

Right you are mazemaster. It's the thrill-seeking-instinct-like-thing. I have it too. But there is a line between a "kick" and stupidity. I don't know the statistics but how often do young people die because of such a stupidity?
In some way I think these guys do not value their own life. I have to think about what thrills me, so I can compare.
EDIT:
Okay. Hard to explain. What thrills me most is overtaking another car. But I consider driving as one of the most dangerous things. So I don't like it at all. Because It's not only my life I'm risking but the lives of of others as well. That's why I always double-check if the street is clear.
In the end I don't do it because of the thrill but because I'm in a hurry.
I have to admit: I haven't had a real thrill for a long time. But when we were kids we used to "drop the swing". This was done as follows.
The test subject lies down on the ground underneath the swing. The helper lifts up the swing in a appropriate position. The audience is curious. Then the helper releases the swing, he might even accelerate it towards the test subject. So the swing "almost" crashes into the test subject's face.
We did it because we knew it was safe. We never saw a swings' chain to rip off. We never even heard about it. So we considered it safe.
Such things give me the thrill. It looks very dangerous (especially from under the swing) but its harmless.

thrillseeking is an essiential part of evolution. had we not ever taken risks down our evolutionary path the human race would not be where it is today.

Another point of view: It's the feeling you have after you vanquished your fear. It feels like.... life. Iverytime I do dangerous things and I keep on living; I know what it is like to be alive. An so I learn not to take my life for granted

I read this article, saying that extreme things are like a drug.
For example, skydiving. When you're falling, you get a huge
adrenaline rush, but you never really need it, so you get a high in a
way when coming off the adrenaline rush.
