it's not very big, only about 30 secs. it reminded me a little of res evil.

i found it at http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/halflife2aftermath/media.html but i suppose it'll be all over the net soon.

I'll be picking up the game, but that was a pretty s**tty trailer. 30 seconds long with most of it showing generic HL2 style scenes, nothing new <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

Agreed, but it was still kinda cool. Those shaking pod things were pretty neat. Who's voice was at the end? Some guys on the Fortress Forever forums thought it was the G-Man, but it doesn't seem right. Opinions?

I thought Alyx stepping on the Antlion and shooting it in the head was pretty cool - I wonder if that was scripted? I wish the trailer had -gameplay- in it though. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I think you guys are mixing this up with "the lost coast"; I don't think there has been any suggestion that Aftermath is free, but I'd be happy to be wrong <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

Aftermath is an expansion, it will cost money.

Well, I was already planning to get aftermath anyway, and the trailer didn't really show me anything that I didn't already know...

Thats just the guide Crono, not the game, but I guess its still an inclination that it will be a retail game. I have seen the game listed for almost ?30 on one website, but only the guide book is listed on quite a few other sites.

Since you're still play as Gordon in Aftermath... you wouldn't see yourself in third person in a trailer.

Of course it was. Hell, aren't you supposed to play as her?

EDIT: oops, my bad, that's the episodic stuff where you're going to be alyx. Meh. Still scripted.
