I was gunna say, everyone here was describing a gothic emo, not an emo. Just look at bands like "My Chemical Romance" etc. Its all music thats all emotional and such. Gothic emos are the ones who dress all black and wear fishnets.
Now in plymouth I've been studying a group of people from afar. There is a big fountain in plymouth, and before, all the gothic kids used to sit around it being "cool". Now I've noticed that the emo kids came along and have pushed the gothic kids to the side of the fountain, and the emos now hold the fountain. Now in retaliation, some of the gothics turned gothic emo, so they could go back to the fountain.
Now gothics can't fight or anything- thier only weapon is to stare at you and cut thier own wrists and bleed on you. They have this strange thinking from watching too many wierd films that they will become all powerful uberlords lol.Emo's nowadays is just the general fashion unfortunately. Emo's love thier sidesweeps too- if you ever see a live video of an emo band on tv, see if you can see anyone who doesn't have a sidesweep. In these situations, the district is known as "sidesweep city".

So lemme narrow it down just as far as I can:
I don't like knowing that the future generations of men are being raised in girl's clothing.
And that's beyond emo, goth, music, etc.

Yeah, and anyway, they are far out numbered by the rest of us. If anybody tells me I need to become more feminine, I'll kick them in the nuts with my crampons and shove an ice axe down their throat. I think you're worrying about nothing.

As an older member I am a tad bit offended that a picture of a last generation person was used to represent this fella. As I read it, it struck me that he was maybe 12. Why must older people take the brunt of the retaliatory comments whenever a dumb person shows up?

Very true, Sloth. The trouble is that Glitter and all the other nancy-boys of his era were "showbiz" types and therefore "different" - nowadays, effeminacy seems to be the rule rather than the exception.
I thought I'd never live to see the day when "mens" toiletries were a multi-billion dollar industry - you know the sort of thing - moisturising cremes for sensitive skin and so on - but I have , and it will get worse believe me: most (not all) lads these days reek like Turkish tart's handbags with all the ghastly after-shave they drench themselves with (long before they need a razor, often enough), the hair gel and the chemical deodorants that form a toxic cloud which can shrivel a fly on the wing - What on earth is the world coming to? Our forebears will be turning in their graves.
@ Tracer Bullet - We needn't worry, probably, as we may not live to see the denouement. In the meantime, do you have spare crampons?

Deoderant.
Face washing type stuff so that I don't look like a sterotypical geek with greasy skin.
Shaving foam (don't shave too often).
This tea tree spot thing called "T-zone" because lets be honest, no body likes spots.
And acne cream for my back.
So myself, I do not reek of a turkish tart

That's Garry Underwood, He's a 12-year-old with progeria. Don't make fun of him, he's younger than you.

YEEEESSSSS! But posturing aside, I'm sure you've noticed that pop-icons are starting more towards femininity and sensitivity and exfoliation and all that s**t.
