It'll be messy again soon! Its all coming out tomorrow to go to uni, and the drumkit will probably never be played again (Just found out my neighbours below are doing Law! Eep!). I'll force them to learn instruments :P

Looks good, and I have to say, I've never seen a double neck like that! Most double necks tend to be those epiphone gibson copies and stuff. Though its only got 21 frets- no good for any kind of metal soloing Also I'm not sure if its my eyes, but on the 12 string neck are the higher frets scalloped? Thats wierd for a 12 string if it is!

Here is my collection, i have been playing for 2 years now, havent got any lessons yet. Though a friend thought me most of the chords and how to play them.

According to my dad this guitar was build in 1968-1970. He's not 100% sure.

I agree with hardly any of that! Firstly, no way is James Hetfield 200th best! Also I think it needs super resorting- Hammet above Michael Romeo from Symphony X?! I mean cumon, you seen him play, and the stuff he comes up with? It really is amazing watching his fat fingers go!

Also I didn't see Eklundh on that list- hes definitely one of the best there is- no one plays like him, hes just so unique.

Also for everyone who plays drums or any other instruments, who are your fav. musicians for instruments you play?

For me drumming, my favourite drummers have to be Thomas Lang (amazing) and Henry Ranta (original drummer from soilwork) for his uber l337 splash fills and shizzle.

Drummer: Neil Peart from Rush ... not that I play drums or am even close to good on any instrument.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

neil pert, and "bonzo" bonham....have to be my all time favs.....

i used to jam with a guy named john franier.....double bass tama set, 16 piece, black killer set....i miss him. best drummer i ever worked with actually, and the sob f**kin' killed himself over a damn woman....go figure. i didnt see it coming. and i still carry a load of guilt around because of it.....god has a strange sense of humor... :/

didnt mean to downer this thread, i just needed to get that off my chest....thanx for letting me do so....

Don't play any stringed instruments, I'm a keyboardist basically. I have a Korg Karma, and an old Ensiniq ESQ1. I also have a Fender Rhodes 88 and a Hammond B3 sitting under plastic in my carport, both need complete restoring though.

Favorite guitarists?

Alan Holdsworth, (,search for a song called "Heavy Metal Fatigue" and an album from a band called UK.).

Prince, for the ease and skill he demonstrates (Even Eddie Van Halen quotes him as one of the top guitarists)

Robert Fripp, and Adrienne belew of King Crimson

Allen Morse of Spocks beard.

The Unknown John Clark, (The only album I have heard him on is a Bill Bruford Solo project called "Gradually Going Tornado".).

Favorite drummers are Bill Bruford, Terri Bozzio(Spellcheck please)and of course Carl Palmer.

I recently saw Spocks Beard live and they have two drummers, because their lead singer Neal Morse left the band. The original drummer stepped up to do vocals, His name is Nick D'Virgilio, and he's as good as anybody I've ever heard.

Im suprised there are so many musicians in here. We should do a song together somehow.

I usually sit here and play some guitar to myself sometimes, but thats pretty much it. I tend to make up my own stuff and i realize, ,man this was awesome, and i try to remember what the hell i did, but i cant remember.
I also like putting together some weirdo songs on the computer as well, using a midikeyboard and software synths. Its fun as hell to just make up insane things and sometimes some retro nintendo songs. Thats my little interest besides mapping.

Anyone up for making a song together somehow? could be awesome. Its so fun to do music together over the internet. The result could be interesting.

I know you like good music. Go to http://peak.sorkmos.com/PEAK/ and start DL. now.

Woo!

I don't really know many drummers, but I'd say Bonzo and Phil Collins are my favourites.

Bonzo because of those half hour drum solos ( <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> ) and of course because he helped make the best band ever that much better...

And Phil Collins, not because I think he's an extremely exceptional drummer, but because he has the inhuman coordination skills to sing and drum at the same time... and I like his stuff
