Does anyone know the reason for his prolonged absence? Is he all boarded up by the hurricane?

No. no. Orph lives in AK. I can't see hurricanes as a problem. He sometimes takes a break from the community for reasons of his own. I wouldn't worry about it. He'll be back in due time.

They aren?t really good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one tumbles down the stairs.

Yeah, it started by like him not posting "OMG STOP THE BOXES AND 90 DEGREE ANGLES" on everyones maps. Then he stopped posting period.

Think hes just not on snarkpit as much, he did say about getting to 10,000 posts then leaving, and he far exceeded that, so hes probably on an extended break or something.

As per his profile explanation, he just seems to be taking a break. It isn't the first time, and its certainly not something you can begrudge the guy. He'll come back when he's ready for more snarkpit lovin', or at least we can hope so <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Now cassius on the other hand, you've no god damned excuse. If I ever catch you I'm nailing 'dem feet to the floor, diggit? Hell yeah.

Sometimes I really want to meet you all in person, but most of the times I believe it's better to gather in the online world. Somehow people are more colorful while maintaining a relative anonymity. It's frequently a disappointment when virtual friends finally meet in the real world.

That said, I did meet my wife online. We emailed each other back and forth for three months before meeting each other. And she's far surpassed my expectations in real life.

are you bashing him for telling people his opinions of their maps so they can make them better?

sounds alot like it, untill you start giving more to the community (apart from your worthless threads) I dont think you should talk about any one who does contribute.

This isnt the first time he left, i believe around when i joined (1.5 years ago) he also had a leaving thread. So he will be back.

This is sad. Stop posting, newbies, especially to insult Orph - a man who did more for this site than most of the rest of us combined. Not that I mean any offense. I'm sure that all those of you named after operating systems are truly beautiful people - on the inside. But I want to see the greats. I want to see Gwil, Gollum, AS, CJ, Glass, Brass, Yak, Tracer, KFS, CCS, Monqui, Des, WC, Forceflow, Reno, Orph, Myrk, Skeletor, Forceflow, Kornflakes, Jinx - even that mod that always pissed me off whose name starts with a D. Are they still around?

Seems like HL2 came out and we all f**ked off. For whatever reason... I've been posting more recently but I don't know how long that'll last. Nice to see that you are still around to some extent Cass.
