F to the T, You go to their profile and if they have it enabled, it will be right under their avatar. If you've already rated them, you can change the option and such.

Windows, please remove that image from the first page. It's too large. Edit it out of your post or make a link.

How exactly would I skip past it - since there is neither a link to the image instead of displaying it, or a warning in your post that the image below is down-right tasteless and offensive.

Nope.

I noticed Lep has been away for a week now so that's why news posts aren't being put up methinks (I don't know if other mods have the power to put them up).

Snarkpit is getting messy as of late. Time for stricter moderating, or time to let it go. Well, that's discussed before and I think there's still a few around that want to keep the pit alive, me including, so... I think I'll contact Lep tomorrow or so. Going to bed right now... <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

It takes more then 10 seconds to load on my 4MB connection, you could only imagine how long it takes for people who're on a 56k.

That's the size issue, the content is something else.

We're upset because with the lack of Orph around, we've gotta pick up the slack and start remembering his teachings.

Secondly, you could have

1. used text

2. used an image a fraction of the size

3. optimized the image

1st off - 273 kb is nothing to complain about especially since its the only picture in the thread. If this were a pictures or screenshot thread then yes it should be optimized.

2nd off - theres really no need for xat if you just crop it in photoshop and make the picture an 8 in quality

Well I have to head back to uni on friday, but got the opportunity for a late week away so took it. My parents just bought a boat in Greece, and so I figured I'd take a trip out to see it personally <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

My apologies. I seem to have caused a small riot. My intention was merely to shame Win98 into possibly altering the image for my poor connection.

Its really not his fault I was forced to use 56k but I had hoped for some small understanding. I will just need to avoid any Win98 threads and possibly avert any future scenes.
