As for the hebrew text on the church of Satan image, you have to realize that many feel the character Lucifer from the old testament, is the same entity as Satan from the new testament. Jesus or no Jesus, this Lucifer/Satan feller is fighting the same God (admittedly oversimplified).

I would have thought the New Testament essentially replaces the Old Testament, and subsequently voids parts of Genesis. Similarly, Genesis can easily be interpreted as a metaphor. The New Testament has thousands of relevant bits in despite being written so long ago - i.e. Jesus' teachings. Few would say that they are immoral.
Subsequently, whilst science may "dispell" any literal views of Genesis, it by no means disproves the whole Bible and voids it.
Anyway - just my opinion. Carry on.

And don't you find it a little strange, that a society seemingly dedicated to disproving 'biblical myths' would create new ones of its own?

i am athiest. sure i disbelieve but i dont disagree. a lot of morals in religions are very good, i just dont believe in the supernatural/spiritual/god part.
i believe, that at its roots, religion was invented to answers Mans' own question of our uniqueness.
when i die, thats it. no afterlife, nothing. when i choose to do something, no fate or anything, my own decsicion.
to me, all human beings are atoms behaving in strange ways
