Ok, tomorrow I'll head East and try to find a secure place for all of us. I'll also recon zombie activity etc.

I propose we choose a new area to be our base. I just spent a turn running around the general area and only managed to come across 2 zombies (killed both and leveled)... but the rest of the areas were deserted. I say we attempt to move to Havercroft: http://www.jonathanfletcher.f2s.com/urbandead/mapping.php?suburb=44

It's right next to Riddleybank (which is a warzone I hear) and there's a group of firestations/policestations/1 hopsital right in the middle of Havercroft we could try to secure. I'm sure there are zombies roaming all over there.

I checked the area and it seemed to be pretty clear, however, as you said two areas to the west theres a bloody warzone. Because of this, i think there are quite many in the proximity of Havercroft aswell. Barville seemes to have quite many zombies aswell.. However those preports are a few days old.
The zombietracker is a very handy tool i think <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">:

If we are to create barricades and stuff, who's going to build them?

I need to level my shotgun first before I do construction. But, there should be others in those police stations who can barricade for us.

I'm in South Blytheville, so Havercroft is just three suburbs North and one suburb East from me. I can sit around for a few days and just collect APs and then start moving over there. Doesn't look like there are any zombie infested areas to avoid on the way there.

Maybe someone could do some scouting and try to find out wether those police stations and firestations already are barricaded..

Ive moved to Moseley Plaza Police Dept in havercroft, everything seemes clear. I noticed that firestations and the police Dept im in right now is barricaded.
There is lots of people here aswell. Judging by the zombietracker, havercroft is as empty as it could be. Almost no zombies present.

Ill wait here for further instructions, over and out.

I've finally reached Havercroft - ready when anyone else is to move to where ever, although I could probably use a while to pile up the APs

I've made it into Havercroft as well. I'm currently in the Woollacot BLVD Fire Station (2 blocks west of the Ackland Mall). Definitely seems to be more zombie activity here. I killed 2 (or 3?) zombies and wounded 2 others before running out of APs. I leveled twice. Up to level 6 now.

I've maxed my firearm skills, and I managed to get Construction as well so I can serve as the Snarkpitter barricader. I think I'm going to try to get bargain shopping so I can take advantage of the nearby Mall. Next turn I'll have to head to the Spurdwell PD to find more ammo. I'm all out.

Does anyone know if you lose all your items/skills/exp or anything else if you happen to get killed?

And I am slowly comming closer to you guys. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Spent most of my latest APs on searching for first aid kits in a hospital in Kempsterbank.

You don't lose items but you can't use them as a zombie. So you keep them but they are useless until you're revived. The only way you lose XP is if you get Headshotted as a zombie. You lose 10 XP per level above the first.

You never lose skills, some just become inactive because you can't use them as a particular class (ie construction as a zombie) or (infectious bite as a survivor). The skills and items that carry over as a zombie are body building and the flak jacket.

Same here. My character's name is BobLoco (someone nicked Loco - damnit). I have barely anything in terms of items/skills/whatever, but give it time...

Another wonderful extension for firefox:

Urban Dead Graphics and Inventory Enhancer

Screenshots:
(1),(2),(3)

Forum post with more information

To install it simply download it and drag and drop it into the
extension window, then restart FF. Then change settings for the
extension through Tools>GAIE Tool.

Seems like you can hold a maximum of 51 items, counting all weapons as
two. If you have 50 items with one slot remaining you will still be
able to find weapons though, it seems.

I made it to Spurdell Walk Police Dept in Havercroft (its 2 blocks south of the mall).

I'm currently just looking for ammo.

I just leveled up to lever 2. I bought the Shotgun training skill, so now I have a 55% chance of hitting targets.

I started a new character today... Jacque de la Morte (yay timesplitters).

He's a zombie prowling around. I used up all my APs attacking this guy and ended up taking him to 3 hp <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif"> I only have 26 XP and I'm pretty sure I'll die before my next turn.

I figure this game needs more zombies for people to play against, so I don't mind doing my part.
