AtM, I think you're right. I read that guide you posted, useful, thanks.

Sadly, my dear OtZman was just killed :/ so now I'm a zombie. I'll make another character later on.

What happens if I stop using my current character that was killed and turned into a zombie? Will it just stand around there and do nothing? I can imagine that a whole lot of people start playing and then stop playing with their character when it turns into a zombie, especially if they hadn't gained any experience with it, like me.

After 5 (real) days you character becomes hidden until you log back in. You never die completley, as the thing says.

You can become human again through leveled up scientists.

Yeah, people list your profiles ... otherwise you'd have to find them, and this thing is 1002 big. Or is it 50? Making it 100 total.

I'm held up in a firestation I was making my way Northwest, but, was running low on AP.

Each neighborhood is made up of 10x10 squares, with each square usually a single building.

The entire city of Malton is composed of 10x10 neighborhoods. So... its like you said at first, 100x100 squares. It's quite large.

If a building is heavily barricaded, you can always attack the barricades to bring it down to "very strong" - that's kind of risky though, and the survivors inside might not appreciate it.

Hmm.. maybe instead of turning on your fellow man you should set out anew and look for a fresh area to roam and cleanse of zombies.

anyways, here's my profile http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=97526

Every time something happens that gives me additional cause to hate humanity I add another room to my Half-Life level.

i played for about a month
you can get in buildings i think that were barricaded from the outside
if your a zombie go to a building you know has alot of people in it and eventually youll get revivified

The thing is I don't really feel like even trying to reviev my character as I haven't gained a single experience point with it and really played bad running around and staying in the middle of the streets getting attacked.

I guess I'll just leave my character be then and start a new one.

I've created a new character, OtZman Two. Pushed my imagination to the limit there, eh? It's another cop.

Wow congrats, it's definitely much harder to level with a scientist. Did you heal 100 points worth to get that level?

My firefighter is halfway to level 4, because its so damn easy to level with the melee character type.

Does the idea of creating a backstory for your Urband Dead character, and then periodically narrating your adventures here in character appeal to anyone? I've never attempted "fan-fiction" and I know some people are very averse to the idea, but it had crossed my mind.

I tend to enjoy it when I see people in character while playing UD, and maybe I would enjoy it here as well.

What do you think?

Anytime you heal someone you get 5 XP no matter what. This in itself wouldn't be so bad, if only you could see player's HP levels; otherwise you just end up trying to heal people with full health and wasting action points. It's pretty frustrating, but now that I have Diagnosis it should be okay.

In most MP games I like playing support roles anyway, so I guess I don't mind the difficulty. Not everyone can be a firefighter, after all. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

As for the roleplaying idea, go ahead - if people don't want to read it, they can skip over your post anyway. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I've found a LOT of stuff in the police station!

3 shells
a shotgun
2 pistol clips
flare gun
and right outside I found a rusty kitchen knife!

Anyway, Waiting for you all so we can kick some arse. Also so we can set up our headquarters there, most likely. If we wanted to.

GO TEAM SNARKPIT.

also, I've started a map set for URban Dead. I wanted it to be like a FPS version. If anyone wants to help let me know.

I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

Nickelplate, I just made it into the Jensen BLVD Police Station. When you log in again you'll see my greeting. I had to fight off some zombies on the way from Chudleyton. I killed one, and injured another. The injured one is 2 blocks East, 1 block south. There are also 2 other zombies 1 block south from there. If you've got enough ammo I'd say go for it.

I need to rest for another 25 hours before I can do anything. I've probably got enough ammo for one more zombie hunt once rested. I have 7 shotgun shells, and 30 bullets.

Otzman, the barricades are down to very strong, so you can get in now if you try.

CJ, where you at now that you've got diagnosis?

In other news my firefighter in Chancelwood almost died today. I logged in to find the barricades nearly destroyed and 10 zombies marauding outside my hideout, St. Louis's Hospital. I fled to the nearby Dunston General hospital. If anyone is in the area and would like to rendezvous I'm right on the border of Raines Hills (southern side of Chancelwood).

mkay, I'll see if I can get there sometimes soon. I'm gonna go search a police station and a couple of those arms shops. Just wish the site wasn't so busy, cant log in. :'(
