I have never played the old DOD, but this one definitely got my attention. Every little corner of the maps are detailed to perfection and the gameplay is just...
...I have no words. Just a few bugs and exploits to be fixed and we will have a multiplayer shooter that will surpass any other online shoota.

- simply ...perfeKt

Now seriously, is it worth me shoving extra cash for it (cause i'm willing if someone recommends it).

Speaking of things not working, there seems to be something wrong with most HL2DM servers currently online. Commands like rank statsme top10 thetime and admin just don't work. I just refreshed the HL2DM content so that's not the problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem aswell?

Best game ever. Way better than the original, considering that they kept all of it and added.

To be perfectly honest, if you liked the first one, Andrei, I highly suggest that you pay the money and get the game. It really is worth it, because you're going to play it a lot <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I'm really enjoying it for now, but the novelty will wear off. Only 4 levels and insubstantial tweaks to the gameplay mean that this is gonna get old pretty fast. I do think its superior to the original version, but maybe I'm just a sucker for pretty, shiny, new content <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> If Valve give us some NEW maps it may hold onto my interest for a little longer.

Before the end of the year I hope to have at least one new custom DOD: Source map made. I've got four good concepts I wasn't able to finish in the old game, so it'll simply be a case of picking the best and getting cracking. Probably Brecourt Manor Assault, since I'll be able to use some of the sexy new hedge rows.
