He's really cute and looks pretty intelligent too.

Yes! and so does the baby!

This is a picture of my dog, Molly the dog. She's a Catahoula, a rare-ish breed from the south of Louisiana. Her breed was here before most European explorers. They were companions to the Indians.

I would have put this in the art thread... ...in an atempt to revive it.

It may not be art as such, but from what I've seen there are alot of amatuer photographers here like myself.

I would have posted this there, but very few people visit the Art board.

About a year before I bought my digital camera I had two events that I would have given anything to have been able to photograph.

1) When that piece of Russian space junk came down over the eastern seaboard I was lucky enough to have witnessed its re-entry over Washington D.C. It was the second most amazing thing I had ever witnessed in the sky.

2) About a year before that, I had the distinct pleasure of witnessing a cloud formation. It was at sunrise and the only clouds in the whole sky comprised this. It was a fully represented image of a Phoenix flying into the sun. I would have given my arm to have captured it in some way.

Sadly, nothing has happened since I got my camera, but I keep it with me just in case.

I am not sure how you have your Snarkpit pages sorted but this is page 2 for me. As such I would like to remind you that page 1 is NOT 56k friendly. I let it load for a long time and still it never completed. There must literally be megs worth of screens on that one page alone.

I wish you guys would post ONLY THUMBS.

Why do my thumb images don't show up properly?

I put the url tag around an img tag...but it doesn't work. Can anyone give me a hint? Thanks.

This host will give you a wonderful code line to use here at Snarkpit. Try it.

imageshack was what I used, and the code did not work.

Then try one of the other two silly ass. You are given three for Christ sakes.

[edit] They seem to have altered the format recently.

Sorry, my bad.

thumbnail [thumb=thumb.jpg ]big.jpg[/thumb ] remove the spaces.

OK, my understanding is this. Link to the thumb, which links to the big image which ends the code line.

Try that.

A few shots I took recently. These were taken at a small port city that my ancestors lived in. 56Kers be warned: the originals are quite large (~200KB).

That rusty fishing trawler looks straigh outta HL2 man.

The last shot is my favorite. The industrial stuff on the shore is quite ominous.

I'm not exactly sure of the details but the machinery in the background is used to load iron ore onto ships in these massive containers. It's great to see the stuff in action.

I wish I was allowed onto the trawlers. Next time, I'm going to break in with a crowbar... A golden crowbar... yeah...
