Does anyone here make sigs?

I am just learning, been useing windows paint.. but I am starting to try my hand at Photoshop and Image ready.. and its a difficult program considering what I have been useing.

But I want to learn, and I have taken part in a sig making contest this week... the theme is tech... but I am not sure what to do.. any ideas?

Any good tuts out there I can try? I want to make a killer sig..

I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

Signatures, as far as I know.

As for tutorials ... uh ... just use google and look for tutorials for specific effects.

I suppose, for tech (future) stuff. Hexagons seem to be pretty tech looking. So do random lines that seem to form paths (like circuitry) glowing colors.

Like the one you have below that says you tried sniff coke but the ice cubes blah blah blah.. but instead most forums alow images.. it seems to be all the rage now to have a killer SIG. SOme places even charge money to make them for people.. I do it just because I like to create stuff.

a screenshot from hammers 3d window, like the one at the top right of this page, could give a sig a nice techy feel. and it doesn't look like something that any of the standard photoshop plugins would create, so you'd have a degree of originality.

In the arts section this guy Dark|Killer had a whole bunch of links for photoship sig tutorials. He posted a bunch of his work too. I forgot the exact thread though...

Looks nice, but the moneyshot text is too simple compared to the rest. Make it more shiney to fit it. Animating sigs can get pretty annoying after a while too, unless you do it subtle and not so fast.

But why not a sig that fits well with your avatar? I like consistency between those... <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Oh No captian P, this was done for a contest. the theme was TECH.. so I went with the whole blinking VCR clock theme, thats why its flashing like that.

Most of them were made in Windows paint.. just recently have I sarted to use Photoshop and imageready... I have a long way to go.. but I do it because I enjoy it.
