Wow, that some tinkering. Really well done, but I noticed a drastic change of speed right before it struck. Probably to conceal the absent meteor design. But to put to least, that's some excellent 3d effects they did.

But WOW!

it was nice effects but i think that it certainly was faked. the video effects on the camera were what made it obvious.. it was gently overdone. A meteor that size would have killed them all though...

Man, that's supposed to be a truck commercial for that truck they've got. You know... it get's hit by a meteor and keeps on tickin'? Same as the truck that the girl puched off a cliff and it lands on it's wheels... you know...


I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

TBH a meteor that large and that speed would give off a bigger shockwave.

I agree, the meteor is an obvious fake, yet, like you said, the explosion looks real.

BTW, me hears there will be a solar eclipse (partial from EE) on Monday. Is this true?

Ahah I think i remember that, did they stick it on top of a block of flats and blew it up?

Anyways, a meteor hits and the truck drives out of the smoke unscathed, proper setup <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

Definitely fake.

For a find that size you'd expect more people to be around the "excavation" site.

And what -- after the tsunami was the beach supposed to have eroded that much to reveal a fossil of that size?

I think they just reedited some sort of news show and did some digital effects and spliced some footage of a person digging up close in the sand and uncovering tiny fragments.
