I came across this site that lets you send yourself an email at some specific day in the future:

http://futureme.org/

What did/would you send yourself? When did/would you schedule it to arrive?
Mine was fairly simple:

? quote:
Dear FutureMe,

Did you talk to her yet?

Scheduled to reach me on October 8th, 2005.

Yes, I'm pathetic. I know.

Quite a thought provoking email actually, though I hardly think the arrival date is making the most of the service <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif"> I think a suitable on for me would be "Get a job yet?", scheduled for about 10 years time - going by my past records, I appear to be unhirable!

Hahaha, sweet <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I sent this;

? quote:
Dear me a month from now, you've seen things I haven't, and experienced things I wish I could have. You luck bugger <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

Forget sending my future self an email, I'd like to send one to my past self.

Hmm wow actually quite a good question. I would use it were it not for the fact I dont like the idea of my personal feelings stored somewhere on somebodys database.

Hello there.

They had us do something similar freshman year of highschool - write a letter to yourself 10 years from now.

I remember doing this kind of thing in my 7:th grade in school and got it back at 9:th grade. It was really fashinating to read his long mis-spelled letter with stuff that i thought was important at that time and compare it with how i saw things 2 years later.
I remember thinking something like "Man I must have been a pain in the ass." =P.

Haha, that's a fun one, Andrei!

I've sent a mail to remind me to finish or work on my map next month. Maybe that helps a bit? <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

This is all supposing that you still have the same email address in the future. I did the same thing as mazey in high school, but that was more lame 'cause it's not like I'd still have that letter 10 years later...

One day you'll know what you're talking about, I can hardly imagine

Nice idea. Sent one to myself 5 years into the future. Hope I still have the same e-mail address by then.

Thats the fall back of this idea, keeping the same email adress for several years is hard lived, granted Ive had mine for 3 years, but its still a flaw in the idea.

I was going to send one too, but then I realized that I have to type in my "real" email address. Granted, I'm probably not going to get spammed for this, but I am still reluctant to divulge this information.

Perhaps I am just a paranoid about junk mail and identity theft.

You're the happy, jolly hippy type, aren't you? I guess you're not old enough to get bitter and cynical. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

I'm hoping I can get it done with by then, TBH! Any longer would be too pathetic even by my standards (or seeming lack thereof).

Yeah, I do this from time to time, in the form of a to-do list.
