Well, it's finally back. Every team is playing tonight. I personally am watched the Toronto/Ottawa game (end of 1st period right now) and I absolutely love it. I really missed the game <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

Just wondering if there were any fans of hockey here, what teams you support etc.

I really don't like the way they f**ked up the game though, penalties are coming left right and centre, and it really slows the game down.

It's 1-0 Leafs, can't wait for second period. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

Actually the new season rules prevent the game from being slowed down (eg: they let more 2 line passes go, more iceings, basially the center line rules). I really like the addition of the the shoot out though, it will end a lot of ties that plague the team's record.
I hold season tickets to the San Jose Sharks. So far theyve won most of their preseason games =P please no cracks about them not winning the cup. I have a good feeling about this season.

My little brother plays hockey. I don't.

We live in the Netherlands anyway so there's little to say about American clubs here too... <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

this is ice hockey right? we do normal hockey in PE but ive never tried ice hockey, not much of an ice skater anyway.

Whats Normal Hockey? I only know of the real hockey on ice.. and then later roller blade copied it.. so whats is normal hockey?

if hockey is that boring to you, then base ball and foot ball would put you to sleep. Hockey is full of action. Baseball the pitcher throws the ball, if the batter hits it you have a bout 5sec of action of him running to the next base. If the batter doesnt hit the ball, then it gets thrown back to the pitcher. Then he stands there for like 30 sec, itching his crotch and looking at the other two bases. Repeat. You think Hockey boring? Base ball puts me to sleep =P.

Seeing people on death row fight to the death (like Unreal Tournament) would be a sport I'd watch! Though now I think about it, it would be so horrific I'd probably not watch it...

normal hockey as in wooden sticks with a hard leather ball, shinty is similar
