Plus I don't play a lot of multiplayer (only a little HL2DM now and then), I'm a singleplayer fan. Does Quake 4 has singleplayer?

I hate all these mutiplayer-only games nowadays.
What happened to the beauty and art of game design? That's why I primarily make single-player maps. It's all about getting into the head of the player and play psychological games with him.
I like messing with people's mind, because I have a pretty twisted one myself. " SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

I always liked games like quake and UT better anyway...
i hate games like MOHAA where you cant run or jump and you run out of stamina and u have to reload and crap... arena-nonrealistic is best for me
being able to jump 10FT always rocks.

You must miss the long-jump module from HL1 then. " SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I can't wait for Quake because lately I have played far to many "realistic" shooters lately. Although I am a bit of a sissy and the singleplayer may scare me too much
.
I'm also looking foward to Quake Wars: Enemy Territory. Just saw the preview yesterday.

I'm sure it'll be a good LAN game and will have memorable (id style) moments in the SP.
As for that MoH comment ... try playing the game before you say something silly like: you can't jump. Not sure if you're talking about the original, AA, or PA. Which are all completely different.
I don't think I've ever had a problem with reloading at improper times. You always have to take a break behind a corner to reload ... The only thing that was a complete pain in the ass was Sniper City in AA. Jesus.

I just found a Quake 4 sp video on a cd. Yeah looks like you become one of them. But wouldn't they put a mind control thing in you so you wouldn't turn against them or something? It would be cool to fight with the bad guys against the marines, maybe the I wouldn't get so freaked going up a dark corridor. Although it doesn't look like it because the player is fighting an alien spider-battleship thing in a part of the preview. I wonder how then the marines would notice you and not kill you on sight then if that is so.

The only FPS currently worthy of attention is STALKER: Oblivion Lost (aka Shadow of Chernobyl) which not only looks great but sounds original aswell.
As for MOHAA...one of the best games ever made.
[edit]
Oh, and Flashpoint 2. But I can hardly call it a FPS. I'd rather call it a combat simulation.

I loved the book, I hope that the game will have atleast some of its athmosphere. The book has so much potential in it.

I like the idea that you turn as a monster against both your allies and your enemies, you're on your own dude, hehe , its really nice, plus the graphics is sweet !!Apart from the guys who said it sucks, i really disagree,
but everyone has his own opinion
