Firefox all the way for me. Dedicated search bar (with a range of plugins to search different things), clever URL entry bar that doesn't need full addresses ("snarkpit" gets you here), tabbed browsing (which I used constantly), better security, seems to load websites quicker (due to loading up the content before you images/sounds/etc... I believe). Those are all the reasons I need to keep using it over IE <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Might wanna add a dedicated option for Opera, which a fair few folk seem to use.

Firefox for exactly the same reasons as ReNo. I couldn't actually work properly anymore without tabs, to the extent that I actually have Portable Firefox on a USB key just in case.

Firefox. Since it's so foxy. I've used Arachne once on my old comp. The windows screwed itself up and I needed to surf so...

Firefox because all of the rest are spyware magnets, especially IE (aka Internet Exterminator).

Some images in this post have been automatically down-sized, click on them to view the full sized versions:

This is why I don't use IE, spyware...

Plus, I don't think I could survive without tabs, or my Modern Pinball theme. PLus I use the Target Alert extension. It is a neat little one where it tells you next to each link, if it is a website, a pdf, a zip, etc. If anyone is interested I think I might make a thread with a link and explaining how to install, plus its advantages.

    Firefox:

+ Can be optimized for broadband
    + Faster page rendering
    + Quality Extensions and Themes
+ Overall security: No ActiveX, Javascript & Java control, pop-up blocker
    + Live Bookmarks (= RSS-feeds)

Opera's not bad too, too bad it has too much bells & whistles.

Firefox. Theres no point outlining reasons why; its benifets have been mentioned countless times, and if you haven't got it now, you're obviously not going to.

I once almost felt like crying because my friend didn't have a scroll wheel on their mouse, and I had downloaded Fire Fox just for the occasion because I just can't stand IE.

I wonder why Microsoft hasn't just adopted Firefox as their default browser on their OS's. That'd be nice to see in the future, instead having to open IE and download it (unless your a geek and keep it on a usb drive <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">). I think that Microsoft created IE, and that's why they refuse to have Firefox as their default browser.

Anywho, Firefox is just better in general for the following (quoted) reasons

    ? quote:

+ Can be optimized for broadband
    + Faster page rendering
    + Quality Extensions and Themes
+ Overall security: No ActiveX, Javascript & Java control, pop-up blocker

FF all the way. Even Maddox says to change your s**tty browse to firefox <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

But still, I like the themes of it a lot, and the fact that it loads faster and is in every conceivable way much better than IE.

On the Opera topic; I used to use it, but there is too much s**t. Half your screen is quick launchy type icons, and crap like that.

    I use Internet Explorer.

Because I have ALWAYS used it and it's what i know. I used FF there for a while, but windows defaults all point to IE and I use about 20 different computers a day.

I've never had a Virus or Spyware on my machine. So IE has been just fine for me.
