Of course, the entire idea of back door deals and such is ... disturbing, to say the least. It should be no sweat off anyone's back unless they're deep in some incredibly illegal activity, in which case, you'd probably know about the 'checks'. Think about this though: if they gather information on everyone, all the time, how are they going to realistically go through it? That computability is like nn or something like that. It'd probably take years to sift through everything, so chances are they don't check much, unless they start down a path to track a specific individual for whatever reason.
Conspiracy theories are funny because you have to wonder ... why would the government care about a specific individual if they show no sign of a following? They wouldn't, is the answer.

The internet was created in the United States. It originated from a project called the ArpaNet from the Defense Department.
The first four nodes of the internet were UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, Stanford, and Rutger's, I believe. And I think it went online in 1969 or something.
I am sure I can cofirm the facts with a Google search, but Crono can do that for me. " SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I looked up and confirmed what I briefly stated above. The birth of the internet occurred primarily at UCLA, my alma mater (where I went to college and where I trained to become a pediatrician).
I am so proud to be a part of the school that gave birth to the internet.

The World Wide Web is not the Internet.
The world wide web is the system of interlinking web pages, which you view using a web browser.
The internet is the system of servers and connections which connects computers all around the world. The internet has many uses, including the world wide web, email, instant messaging and of course online gaming.
