I just want to know what you guys think of Age of Empires 3. This is a question for those who have played the full version (not the demo). Is it as good, better, or not as good as AoE 2? What are the pros and cons.

I've heard some good reviews about it. I really like the graphics and I've always loved American history. I think it's great that Ensemble went into this time period. It's new lands with each empire trying to gain the three "G"s, gold, glory, and god.

Only played the demo and didn't quite fall for it. Dunno why.

I think the game is quite cool and will play it during LAN's...
However its not really spectacular.

I've got AOE2 and its many mods but I haven't tried AOE3 yet...Videos look really good so I must get this sometime. Multiplayer matches can last hours! I love the way you gotta survive like real life.

I'm not too excited about RTS. It looks good, the other AoE games I've played have been well-executed, I just plain suck at them. Usually my cities get razed before my armies are able to fight off the attackers... or in Starcraft, I play Terran, and fly my base onto an island while daring troops valiantly defend their posts against the oncoming hordes against overwhelming odds. Then I'm stuck on a tiny island with few resources and nowhere to build stuff...

So... er... I wouldnt pay money for an RTS game.

I was a little disappointed with the demo. I've yet to play the whole version, but I'm definitely going to get it. I'm still an avid player of AoE 2 expansion during LAN parties.

I still think it's an amazing game, and I'm definitely going to get it <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

I dont know what it is.. I treid the demo, and some where the game lost its luster. They changed something, and not for the better either. It is pretty though.

Just from those screenshots, it looks really good.

The campfire one was my favorite, and the shot of the ships were my least favorite.

I kinda liked the snowy shots too.
