Well, up north it's our time to shine <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

It's pretty f**king cold in the morning for the walk to school (I've already got my thick winter coat out for the morning). It's also quite dark in the mornings.

Continuing on the day; lots of wind, rain/hail (just not cold enough for snow) and just plain old dreary weather.

It gets quite cold at night, heating bills are going through the roof...

God, what a double edged sword. Plus side being snowboard season is starting! woo!

In Adelaide, where I live, winter has rain and wind, but not too bad. This winter it was overcast most of the time, but it didnt rain too much which was nice. Summer here is that, without clouds/rain/wind. Winter is usually 10-20c, summer usually 30-40c. It was 31c today, too damn hot already <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">

Personally I love the rain, wind and darkness (very rarely snow) that I get. As one of my friends describes it: "druggie season" is when you can run around the streets at night unnoticed with few 'normal' people ever seeing you. The person I'm currently going with gets Seasonal Affective Disorder, something I personally believe is a recent invention, therefore its a bit of a double edged sword; everywhere to go, but noone much to go with! (you might just tell I'm an antisocial type by this <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif"> )

They have special lamps at my school that people with SAD can use to counter the gloominess of the winter months.

I took a pic outside my Karate kai here in Gothenburg to show you how dark it is.
This pic was taken 17:20.

? quoting Underdog

"Whats it like durning the winter months where you live?"

Due to the daft and totally outdated idea of putting the clocks back, by the time I get out of work at around 5-6pm the sunlight has completely gone. At least during Spring / Summer / Autumn there are at least a few hours of sunlight left to enjoy.

I've never minded the cold or rain during Winter though, just the downright stupid idea of all the 9-5 workers driving home from work in the dark; everyone's tired from a day's work, rushing to get home, not all roads have streetlights, etc. Apparently there are 100s more deaths every year in the UK alone because of this.

Well. Winter.... In bavaria this means snow. Pretty much of snow. Mostly so much that you can hide behind walls of snow without squatting or anything.

This is the time of the touritsts (like it is during summer) when they all come skiing and boarding.

I might can take some pitures when the snow comes. At the moment it's just raining. And freaking cold. I can't await the time when the snowtournaments will begin.
