Ok, I know this is old news but I still find it interesting. And still not a lot of people know it.
Bassically, SMB 2 on the NES was just an exact remake of the game Doki
Doki Panic in Japan. And Nintendo got lazy and just changed the menu
screens and character appearences. Here are articles on it. I find it
funny how they even have the same manual, including some shots of Doki
Doki in the SMB.

Yeah ... everyone knows this already
" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">. They just put in the character sprites and made it a Mario game. But you know what? That's still a fun as hell game.
Also, didn't "Dreamfactory" get scrapped?

my computer, i dont think its on TV anymore
" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">). So I decided to tell

How could you hate Mario 2? Seriously. Even the cartoon was mostly based on Mario 2.
I loved that show so much. Except for the live action part.
Does anyone remember that other Nintendo cartoon? It was about this guy, who played far too much NES and like ... he carried around a NES controller and could merge the Game's reality with ours or something. The point is, he could control game elements in the real world. I remember the guy using Off Road a lot. I think he used a power glove too.
"Captain N & the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" was the title of the second show.

I don't I ever watched the Captain N one, but I do know of it and have
seen a few episodes recently. It was all about Zelda back in the days
of the Super Show.
As for Mario 2 being a re-brand. There was still a Mario 2, in NA it's referred to as "The Lost Levels". Personally I love both. I have the carts for 1, 2 and 3 sitting not more than 5 feet above me on my shelf.

Yeah, the original SMB 2 was almost the same as the first, but WAY harder. And was only released in Japan.

ohhhhh so that's why SMB2 is sooo different from the others!! i always wondered why. SMB2 didn't make much sense, i always thought mario had some time to rest and he dreamt that, but still it was weird.
