mario kart's cool too, but you can't compare SuperMarioBross with MarioKart, they're different from each other (one's action/adventure, the another one's ...about cars)

Yeah, I actually played and completed mario rpg...I totally forgot about that one...not that it's better than the regular Mario games...

it had a turn based attack system like in final fantasy
its pretty funny and involves a lot of puzzle solving
i think its the only game where mario and bowser team up and it has geno in it who is awesome!

All three Mario RPGs are good. (Mario RPG: SNES, Paper Mario: N64, Paper Mario 2: GC)

Yoshi's Island is such an awesome game. The bad part is it's one player.

Mario Brothers 1 is the arcade game. Also known as "POW". That one is okay. Fun on GBA, since they upped the abilities.

Super Mario Brothers is awesome, but has its limits. It's okay overall because of it's later instalments.

Super Mario Brothers 2 is fantastic, no matter what anyone says. I think it's far better than SMB1.

Super Mairo Brothers 3 ... oh my God. What a fantastic game.

Super Mario World is so fun, but, easy, which is something the earlier games lacked ... they were hard. Especially 3, christ.

There is no 4 as of yet (even Super Mario Brothers DS isn't called "4" it's called "new" ... which will rock your face!!)

The Lost Levels is really good.

I like the All Star versions of all the games more than the originals ... except 3. Not sure why.

64 ... was okay. If you think it was better than okay, there's something wrong with you.

Mario Sunshine, I personally love. But I don't think it compares to any of the other games. They're all far more "solid" games.

Mario Kart got old. Fast. I can't play it anymore, it pisses me off.

Dr. Mario was fun. So was Yoshi and Yoshi's cookie. No one remembers those Yoshi NES games. (Mario was the villian in the first game)

I'd still have to say 3.

I never played the 64 version.

Super Mario World is not Super Mario Brothers 4.

Honestly, three is weird. It should have been Super Mario World 1, to be honest, because of the way the game is set up. In three and world, there is a dynamic world-map system.

So, that's the main difference, but like I said, three shouldn't have been "three".

Anyway, the DS one was suppose to be called 4 ... but they're being bastards and calling it "New Super Mario Brothers". It should be set up like SMB1. I haven't played it yet though, so.

[Update]

I've never been able to play the "Land" games. I know they're awesome and introduced some of the awesome power ups (bunny ears, Wario).

If you want to talk about it like that then it's the fifth.

If you count Donkey Kong it's 6th.
If you count the Yoshi games it's 8th.
If you count the Land games, it's the 12th.

Let's just agree that it isn't "Mario Brothers 4".
