Sorry Im always comming here with problems guys but bear with me ok? Anyway I downloaded Fraps with the intention of collecting scenes from Doom3 to make a music video. unfortunatly thats like the only game that it seems to not work with. I tried it with HL and Jdoom and they both worked because it had the little frame counter in the corner but when I play D3 there is no frame counter WTF? I know that it works with D3 because it was one of the games that they were showing off at their web site here:

www.fraps.com

I'm not sure what the problem is, I have Fraps installed in C:\Program Filesfraps and doom3 installed in C:\Program FilesDoom3. I have HL and Jdoom installed in the C drive could it be that it only works with games installed in C? I wanted to hear what you guys said before I went to the trouble of reinstalling it. What do you think?

Make sure the fps count is set to show, so you haven't accidentally turned it off. Just double click the icon next to the clock in the bottom right corner and check the FPS tab.

I think Fraps automatically goes to any app showing a DX/OGL window, so maybe theres a way to specify D3 in particular in Fraps. Or, perhaps theres some video settings in D3 preventing Fraps from working.

It doesnt have anything to do with where the games are installed, I know that much.

direct x and open GL. They are the two main 3D APIs for gaming. Meaning they are what the graphics engine uses to put picture on your screen.
