NO, because the first rule of the snarkpit is your dont talk about the snarkpit.

depends. when you know someone irl that thinks alike then there's no reason why you should'nt tell him. Like my bro is a tfc fanat that freqents the uktfcl forums, he knows i come here. but i would never ask him to post here in the event of something happening to me. i'll leave that to him. when something would happen to him i would post it on uktfcl.

But to someone that isnt game-minded, i would never mention that i even come here.

lets just agree, if i stop coming here for more than a month without me posting that i leave this place, then anyone who wonders where i am may presume something unfortunate happened to me <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

These words are my diaries screaming out loud

Actually, that hit me last year. One of my buddies that I used to smoke pot with died from ODing on cocaine or something crazy like that.

I think you have to tell them explicitly. When you die, they're going to be preoccupied with grief, planning for funeral, and dealing with regret and depression. I don't expect them to think of an online forum.

In all seriousness, no family member is going to give a damn about some internet web site. I doubt that we will ever read a post dealing with a death of a fellow member. It hasn't happened here in all the time I am aware of. I bet out of 2000+ members that someone has kicked the bucket.

Sadly, damned few people really take online experiences seriously enough to give notice of a death of their children/parents.

I remember a thread here where the brother of a member told the member had died in a car accident. Turned out to be a false alarm though.

As you say, I doubt family and friends would even think of informing online communities or online friends.

Yeah, wasn't that about some project lead or webmaster whose sight was hacked?

I know your family members probably don't care, but I am sure you do. Don't you want us to know what happened once you're gone?

And if you care, I am sure your family members would care too, knowing that you care. But they probably don't know that you care, unless you tell them that you care.

And if that's not convoluted enough, you can do the chicken dance now.

Lets just say that I care enough about each and every person here to not see your theory proved out shall we?

There was one here on snarkpit as well, written by one of our members.

The concept of dying is so hard to grasp for me, I'd rather not think about what happens afterwards.

Thats a brilliant idea! I'll remember that seriously! That would work effectively.
