I thought about making a thread where you could post pictures and places where you could see GMan...

You have to write the place where you took the pic, (Fairly precise) put in a picture (NOT link to it!) and if the picture isn't very clear, or GMan is in a dark spot etc. you also have to write a description of the picture.

NO pictures of him in Point Insertion! I will post the pictures up here in this post to avoid it getting too messy and spammed.

Somewhere (or many places) in Sand Traps there is a house. I can't exactly tell which. Anyways, inside one of these there are a scope, and when you use it you can see the coast on the other side. The view goes right and left and shows some patrolling rebels. In a sort of barn you can see GMan talk to a rebel. (Who probably mysteriously dies afterwards i guess <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">)

In one of the guard stations in nova prospect there is a surveilance-screen where you can see GMan. He's down in the left corner, in the window.

In Anticitizen Zone you follow dog, who kills some combine and then opens a gate for you. Then a drop-ship comes, and this is the poit where you should jump over the fence and (quickly) follow the corridor until you have an elevator on your left and a little tv screen standing on some concrete blocks.

DON'T look at the tv, instead go into the elevator and look the other way or something. Then you should hear some music start playing, likely coming from the tv. Quickly go over to it and look at it, and you should see GMan pulling his tie (Is that the word? The Danish word is slips anyways :P) for a few seconds.

I know I have seen this thread here before. At least the idea of this thread.

The only place I remember seeing him is when you dock the air boat. Yeah he was elsewhere but I only recall the boat dock.

There is no history until something happens, then there is.

in the level right after the underground (with the elevator-on-the-steep-slope-exit), where you have to follow train tracks with a lot of snipers in buildings above you. at one point you have to go from the train tracks to a parking lot to the left (where, in a building, there's a firefight between combine and rebels). Instead of going to the parking lot, keep following the tracks and look beyond the trainwreck; you see G-man walking away. Can't be bothered to reinstall HL2SP to take a screenshot :P

I know what you're talking about Blister. Well, the area anyways, I never followed the tracks.

There's about 12 or 13 G-man places, I believe. There's a site (or likely multiple) that keep track of things like this, so...

Google :P

Some images in this post have been automatically down-sized, click on them to view the full sized versions:

This isn't exactly Gman, but it's not worthy of it's own thread.

1. Who's head is scratched out

2. Why the hell ar their heads so big compared to the rest of their bodies?

Might be Breen's head that is scratched out, which would certainly make sense if the picture is somewhere like Black Mesa East or Kliener's lab. I can't remember where it is, so dunno if that would make sense in the context or not.

Yeah -- GMan wasn't a scientist. It's Breen that's been scratched out.

And as for the heads, I think they made them larger so they'd be easily recognizable.

Its Breen thats scratched out. That picture is in BM East (I think). Also, before anyone asks, the guy on the right isnt G-man.

G-man is also clearly visible for 2/3 secs when you get to the red house with the boat. He's just walking in it, then dissapearing.

Reminds me of one of my favorite HLcomics:

http://www.hlcomic.com/comics/concerned012.jpg

Here's a full list btw:

* A Red Letter Day (map: d1_trainstation_05): If Gordon flips through the main monitor in Kleiner's Lab a few times, eventually it will come across the G-Man staring at the other side of a fence.
* Route Kanal (map: d1_canals_01): In a resistance member's boxcar, a TV temporarily shows the G-Man, with a Vortigaunt watching and supplying television power.
* Water Hazard (map: d1_canals_06): He is seen standing on a pier in front of the headcrab infested Station 7. As Gordon approaches, he disappears inside.
* Water Hazard (map: d1_canals_06): Vaguely seen in a large rectangular monitor that flickers his image along with other broadcasts.
* Water Hazard (map: d1_canals_12): Seen overlooking a ledge as Gordon's airboat passes under.
* Water Hazard (map: d1_canals_13): Before Black Mesa East, the G-Man can be spotted on a concrete ledge near the gate controls.
* We Don't Go to Ravenholm (map: d1_town_05): After leaving Ravenholm, he can barely be seen walking off into a tunnel behind a few train cars.
* Highway 17 (map: d2_coast_03): Looking through the Combine binoculars near the start of Highway 17, Gordon can spot the G-Man conversing with Colonel Odessa Cubbage at New Little Odessa.
* Nova Prospekt (map: d2_prison_02): Seen peering through a door window as Gordon flips through the monitors near the beginning of the prison.
* Anticitizen One (map: d3_c17_02): In a ruined tenement building in City 17, an image of the G-Man standing in a wooden boat with a crow on his shoulder is seen briefly on a television. Strangely, the TV is unplugged.
* Anticitizen One (map: d3_c17_03): Similar to the giant rectangular monitor seen in the canals, the G-Man's image flickers on and off with Doctor Breen's, before the monitor is toppled by resistance members.

Um, Eastern Europe is one of the last "safe" places for humans... and the place where key HL1 characters ended up? Sure, there were a lot of unanswered questions, but the leap from Nevada (or wherever) to Eastern Europe didn't seem like too much to handle.

Yeah, I'd assume so. I'm playing through my second time now, and if you just take a second to look at the bulletin boards put up all over the place, you find out a lot of interesting things.

It's fun <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

In the HL1 manual there's a letter to Dr Freeman and Dr Kleiner from somebody called "LM". I'm guessing that the G-Man is LM, but I have no idea what LM actually stands for.
