Pirates was pretty addicting too, until I happend to check the stats and realized I was 66 y/o and in bad health, and that the game was like The Sims only with pirates.

I usually use my PS2 controller on my computer for certain games. It just has a USB hook up, the connector was like $6. (I'm not converting it, but you get the idea)

I've been adicted to a lot of games, I used to love playing Monster Hunter on PS2 Online.
I mainly play PC games now and this mainly consists of HL1 and 2 mods...
Mainly Sven c-op because I just love co-op games! They are my favourite, Resident evil maps rock so much.

My main reason for wanting the 360 controller is that I'm planning on getting a 360 at some point and will no doubt want 4 controllers, so buying one now for my PC means I'll have another later for the 360 itself. Plus it is a kick ass controller - dual analogue triggers plus shoulder buttons for the win!

Also, just to be clear, it's pretty hard to screw up controller cabling. You're stuck on the name brand thing, aren't you? I personally just hate Mad Catz, and I can completly understand why anyone would hate 3rd party products because of them.

To tired to read 3 pages but I have noticed a trend in myself. Games made years ago seemed to hold my attention far longer than anything now. Even when its a newer version of the game I loved so well. For instance:
I played Civ 2 for nearly 3 years.
I played Doom 2 for almost 2.
I played Duke nukem for well over a year.
I never finished HL1
I have yet to finish HL2
I have Quake 4 and have yet to finish it.
I have Civ 4, have yet to play a full game yet.
There have been a lot of games I like and finished in between the titles I posted but none of the last two years worth have been entertaining enough to keep my attention to even complete it.
Perhaps the novelty of the older games is part of the reason but older games seemed to have more "heart" to them.
Hell, I played "Trade Wars" on my old BBS longer than anything this year or last. ![]()
