Wow, Tremors looks awesome. I really love the "green" area shot; the
layout looks to make for very interesting gameplay, and the subdued
browns come together really well with the green highlights. The
lighting there could maybe have been a little more interesting, but
maybe functionality was more important. The other two maps don't
impress me so much, and look more like Quake 3 than Quake 4 for some
reason.
Anyways, I don't have Quake 4 yet so the pack isn't of too much use to me. I'm considering picking it up at some point though, as the demo was fairly fun and my flatmate who played through it recommends it. It's going cheap on play.com at the moment so I might take advantage of the offer, and anybody else in the UK who is considering picking it up should do the same seeing as it is down to ?10 for the moment!

They (railed and campgrounds redux) don't look that much better than Quake 2 or HL1- if these are professional remakes, then they are poor. Although Tremors does look damn good!

railed isn't a re-make, but it's inspired by quake 2 stuff the same way a couple of our other MP maps were - which was simple, sort of drab, and blocky. A throwback in style, if you will.
Campgrounds is a q3 remake - the two shots could be better; I think it looks fan-effing-tastic overall, especially where big rock facades have replaced some of the flat walls that were there before.
Glad you like tremors

I've always really liked when levels integrate themselves with natural elements like rocks. Like you guys have already said, Tremors pulls it off well. And it has a great name for a level too!

I'd love to see a remake of that Quake 2 CTF level with the pool of water with the BFG in it, and the crazy flag room which requires a grappling hook- that level was kick ass.
Just curious about Quake 4- is the mp still human v human or can you play as a strogg? Also whats the BFG like now?
