The BioShock demo came out - but only for Xbox live.

IMHO a big, stinking middle finger pointed towards PC gamers like me. We made you big, Irrational, we made you big!

Say hello to PC tutorials referring to a "shoulder button" and stupified, oversized interfaces. I hope so much that I'm wrong, though image

"Guys, the PC demo is simply not ready. The pc development was always a bit behind because we had more time to finish things (no submission to MS). The PC game will therefore have a bit more polish (and a couple more features like turning off loot highlight options) that 360 doesn't have.

It'll be out as soon as possible."

*fingers crossed*

I just want to avoid the high expectations (and utter disappointment) of Deus Ex 2. Looks good.

Welcome to 1985

________________________________

Maybe it's just me being jealous of people with Shader Model 3.0 cards (which Bioshock needs) but the PC-version complaints are already starting:

No Anti-Aliasing

Picture cut off on widescreen monitors

Bad control settings affecting Mice, which have to be tweaked in a hidden default.ini (Deus Ex 2 deja-vu)

...and it comes with spyware that even gets blocked by AVG. Now that's nice!

If someone complains that I'm just picking forum posts (which were linked to from news posts) - I would love to give the game a try with low GFX settings just to get a taste of the gameplay but they didn't bother adding support for SM2.0.

I loved System Shock 2. I trust the team to make this a mind-blowing game but I'm afraid I have to prepare for a major dose of consolitis. I can't believe that the XBox 360 focus won't affect the gameplay as well, ignoring some PC-specific features for the interface, the higher resolution etc.

It should be a great game, yes, but Irrational has been bought by by the console lobby.

Well, we still have Valve image

There's a single player demo out for Medal of Honor: Airborne. Apparently it's been out for nearly two days.

UbiSoft has released: Ghost Recon, Far Cry, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, and Rayman Raving Rabbids for free (Ad Supported <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">). All that is required is a US Ubi.com account.

Also, EA has released Command & Conquer Gold for free in celebration of C&C's 12th anniversary. Though, I don't think it has any ads (thankfully).

Awesome.

Cool, gotta love free stuff! Do the ads appear ingame or outside of the game, like in the menues and loading screens?

As far as I know it's in-game, like billboard type stuff. To be honest, though, I already own all the games, so I haven't checked these out. Why don't you check for us?

I just found out I have BBC America ... and it airs Top Gear. Awesome.

Those ubisoft releases are hilarious. Start prince of persia - get a HUGE McDonald's add right in your face. Load a game - learn how tasty the new McFatPeople is... ridiculous. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_lol.gif">

But they are free and full versions... so that's a point. :/

4 new TF2 gameplay vid links at HL2.net.

Biggest surprise: The new announcer voice! Imagine the Quake/Unreal style, hyper-aggressive voice only spoken by a female announcer. The result is hilarious, in a very awesome way.
