I found out how boring work is on Friday. I'm going to see if I can spend the hours I'll be putting in tomorrow in a zombie-daze that will constitute as sleeping.

(not so) Recently found: I hate nearly all of the music that's popular now. No feeling in it, just soulless, money-minded, regurgitated radio tunes and failed attempts thereof.

There's a Beta going on with Crysis (A private beta with a digital NDA!) through fileplanet.

They're on the third batch of keys out of four, so hurry if you want in.

ya, I tried to get in, but you have to be an official subscriber to File Planet which means you're paying an annual fee, so count me out.

I'm so on the same level of thought here, nearly 100% of todays music is uninspired crap that's musically actually way to simple and boring to be of any interest to me, or covers of old songs, and with covers i mean litterally covering ,not adjusting anything to make it a unique cover, or more interesting, but just plain playing of the same tune 'that other good band' played year ago.

If it was up to me the top100 would be filled wit thrilling ,exciting music, that's inspiring to listen to and not just some brain dead rapper going off at his friends or talkingabout his penis size.

Classical music for instance, where has this gone? Where's jazz? Where's blues? Where's jazz fusion? Where's math music?

It's underground, and i think it wil stay there, because every major record label only endorses (is that the irght word?) simple and boring music that all sounds the same.

on topic:

recently found: fretboard oil rules, and is cheap, f**k why didn't i get that like 3 years ago??

I wonder if this is wear Valve got the idea. Or possibly the other way around.

EDIT:
I say this because the article also refers to another robot at another campus and i have no idea when they were built.

Bangai-O for the DS!
It looks like it has multiplayer too (awesome) with a level editor.

If you never played Bangai-O on the Dreamcast (I think there was an N64 version in Japan too), then you are a sad little man and I pity you.

O god! I couldn't even finish it.

If they wanted to inform kids that they could copy games and add them to other computers, you think they could have done it with a little class. Its insulting to their intelligence to think the couldn't remember to copy games with out the jingle.

No. Not 20 or 30 people. That's like the whole game industry! Then I wouldn't be able to play amazing games like ... the Oregon Trail ... and ... NeverWinter Nights ... wait.

Tetris doesn't count, the original creator was completely cut out of the property and never saw any revenue.

The early 90s does not contain pleasant memories, there were far too many of these type of things.

I couldn't finish it either, but I did notice that it was telling people not to copy games. I guess the jingle (don't copy that floppy) didn't really work on you then.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars demo on Steam.
I would have gotten it before, except for the fact that I hate fileplanet with a passion. I'm downloading it now even though my backup video card is below minimum spec (ATI 9600). RMAs take too long =[

You could have downloaded it through any number of sources (including nVidia).

I, quite literally, cannot use FilePlanet, whenever I press the "log in" link, it just refreshes the page.

I downloaded it last night over steam, but when I tried to play it all I got was "this game is unavailable atm, try again later". I've tried again, several times, and I keep getting the same message.

I've exited and restarted both steam and my own computer too, which normally fixes that ^.
