Interesting. I haven't really thought about that before.

Pretty awesome HL2 mod about Adrian Shepard (Opposing Force). I'm half-way through and it's much longer than the advertised 1 hour.

I just got through playing it; there is definitely plenty of custom content to make the game more interesting than it actually is, which isn't a bad thing. The cinematics are fun to watch, and I always like the psychedelic sequences. Some spots in it were quite troublesome with lots of boring fights with the Combine, but the different environments made up for that. It seemed like it was mapped out very well, and the story was somewhat strait-forward. But it was a good little sp mod to play that I definitely recommend as well. Thanks for posting it Reap.

The next installment of Splinter Cell, Conviction, has dynamic lighting with inter-object reflections. So it's got more of a global illumination solution going on, which is pretty awesome. (to note, they call the lighting of inter-objects "bounce" lighting) Go check it out.
And while you're at it, you may want to check out the screens and videos for StarCraft II which were released on Saturday.

Holy cow wiki has a halopedia. How cool is that. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
edit (2): Holy cow the halopedia is so cool. EG: that the alien words spoken by Jackals and Elites are simply reversed English phrases?
edit (3): Holy cow these halopedia guys are hardcore halo dudes. Sick!!

You can enter any map you've released from 1/1/2006 onward, the deadline for entries is June 16.
Gives me a reason to try and finish DM_Soylent in the next couple weeks...
