I just went to start hammer, and it's disappeared after i did the latest steam update. Has this happened for anyone else?

I'm getting really sick of this "automatic updates" crap. all it's ever done is screw my settings up whether it's for windows or steam or anything else. "New features" just means "we changed your settings and screwed everything up."




I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

I can't check right now, because it's updating all the source games, so nothing can be mounted.

But it was working yesterday (also there seems to be no update for the source sdk ... just the games)

I'll update later.

I don't know what you mean by deleted. Can you just not open the source SDK? Or is it updating the SDK? If it is, it does delete them then reloads them once it's done (as I've observed.) But as it stands my games are sitting at 0% :S damn slow servers.

Just had a look in the source SDK and all three of those programs are listed/run.
Maybe try re-downloading the SDK (a hassle i know but could fix :S)

If the exe files do get deleted, refresh SDK content. That will re-extract them from the gcf files, and should fix the problem.

Didn't work...

I just ended up copying the files back from my laptop to this computer. That worked.

I'm not sure what you people are talking about. My SDK works fine, and steam didn't update a thing when I started it this morning.

This happened/happens to me too. Switching to beta sdk fixes it, but then it vanishes again. Weird.

I've gone for deleting all content and starting afresh now.
