Looks like a pretty popular & decent mod for HL2. Since I'm on uni connection, I don't want to waste huge downloads on things I will not like.
Anyone tried it yet ?

I tried the demo a while back ... I was not impressed. Although, I'm sure it's more fleshed out now that it has an official version. Maybe I just thought the map was lame. I'm not sure, but I didn't like it, there was really no difference from DM, just some different weapons.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Dystopia imo is great fun, its a mix between Objective based blast em up and Deus-ex just chilled down a bit.
its nice to see theyve fixed a lot of things, added 2 new maps and made some really cool stuff

The only person that I know likes it is one of the mappers on the team, most everyone else (I know, that is) calls it Nubtopia... but I hate basing opinions on reviews and not trying it yourself 'cause you might like it and think everyone else is 'tarded.

I played the demo and loved it - and was surprised that I did as well since it seemed fairly repetitive and limited...

Guess I'm going to sacrifice some bandwidth for it.
The point is, it looked just like some spiced up deathmatch game. Sure, there are objectives, but I could predict everyone running around on the servers just fragging. In one of the screenshots, there is a car. Can you drive vehicles in this mod ?

I've got a feeling they will be playable eventually, if they aren't already. There was this screenshot of a vehicle (the "Brute"), although I don't know if it was ever implemented. I haven't played since the new update.
The objectives do actually add substantially to the gameplay, as kills don't count for much in terms of points. There's a fair amount of temwork involved.
