well, i live in Denmark, latest news up here: a newspaper made some drawings of that islam profet guy, i do not remember the name since i don't care much about religions.

well the thing is, the islam/muslim people got...let's just say mad at us danes.
so they're boy-cutting danish products (i've seen pictures of a store where there's a sign, telling people not to buy the produvt because it's danish), and the danish people who lives and works down there, well they're being "thrown out".

the latest that has happened: young and angry people are burning the danish flag, crap i say, now i'm like "are we gonna get bombed soon?".

whoever made those drawing sin the first place, they're kinda dumb, it's legal to do that kind of stuff in Denmark but seriously, we live in a time with terror, war and such...(we even sent submarines to the war in Iraq...oh helpful).

so i'm kinda scared that Denmark is going to be a terror-target, even though we're just a finger country...as myrk calls it.

Same s**t happens in the south here in the US all the time. I wouldn't get to concerned unless it becomes apparent that the anger truly does escalate to action.

Sadly, its forever going to be a fact that there will always be people who relish inciting chaos.

Well, what denmark made, is really cruel, they humilated us so badly, by drawing our prophet and making fun of our religion, islam, and or prophet, mohammed, and i heard that they are truely burning the denmark flag, plus boycotting loads of products, which i really liked ie choclates and cheese products...
But the problem here is that none of our leaders stand up against that act...

Well, that drawing really made me mad,its all over emails talking about denmark, the drawer,and the drawing itself...
also, i didnt like the way they humilated us, its not the first time, for we had alot of other cruel humilation against our religion...

Well, i just hope bin laden wont go all nuts and start blowing the denmark out...
What he does is nothing related to islam ( killing innocents ) ...

Well, since one newspaper in Denmark posted an admittedly offensive set of cartoons, the islamic countries are calling for a boycott of all Danish products? Isn't that similar to associating Bin Laden with Islam? Or Denmark boycotting Islamic products because of what Bin Laden does?

As an outsider who hasn't the foggiest idea whats going on let me just say that if the USA boycotted every country whom said something offensive to us, we truly would be a self sufficient nation since we would be left with absolutely no one but ourselves.

IMO, boycotting for a simple notion of "He said,She said" is a bit silly.

On topic: can anyone post a link to this supposed offensive comment? I'd like to determine its level of offensiveness for myself.

Boy, ain't that the truth. I don't have a link of the pictures themselves, but apparently a Danish newspaper posted 12 cartoons with Mohammed being portrayed as a terrorist. If you google on denmark islam boycott cartoon you'll find some stuff.

LOL, thats funny.. how about you Islamic peeps get a grip and settle down before we're forced to come give you yet another spanking. yeah boycott the people from Denmark, that'll teach them.. humm how about we Yanks start over ordering the stuff they make and support these people and their right to make politcal satire with out fear of some stupid islamic terrorist boycotting there goods.

That's what I was wondering.

If you come form a totalitarian theocratic country, it's probably hard to imagine such a thing as freedom of the press. Naturally they take would take it as the opinion of the Danish government.

I can't see why these people are so offended. If anything, I should be offended because 5 of them tried to blow me up in the subway 2 months ago, I should be offended because they deny the divine origin of Christ, I should be offended by the way they hide behind a Holy War to justify the unjustifiable, I should be offended by the way they disrespect western culture but expect respect in return, I should be offended by the way they keep getting offended for no good reason, and so on. They give Islam a bad name, and that's something worth being offended by.

It seems as though all the major eastern religions have a growing process. The Jewish religion used to sacrifice animals some 2,000 years ago and its, what 3,000 years old now?, Christians had their "intollerance" age during the crusades killing muslims because they weren't christian, and I think Islam is going through a hateful period now. Not to say they all endorse terrorism, but I believe a large number are sympathetic to it.
