orph - I think you were a bit harsh here, hes trying to do something noble by providing disk space to people without places to upload stuff (eg: me!). From what I understand you just don't trust him? People change and deserve a second chance.

Haze - There is no need to call a member stupid here (especially someone who has proabably been here longer than you even knew abotu Half Life). Orph was merely voicing his opinion about you. I assume you have changed since then, so you deserve a second chance. But your blowing it by calling his name "stupid", and saying none likes him, because thats not the case.

poisonic - I don't know if you were quoting anyone, and your post was merely something that someone else said (I apoligize if thats the case). So im assuming its yours, so ill have to say that you have no right commenting on this topic because you have no idea of the relationsships here at the pit (I mean you have a grand TOTAL of 13 posts).

im not the usual forum user that whatches and repleys in stead of posting im mapping its quite time consuming i dont have even the time to post......... so thats why i only have "14" posts........

and my mapping project is a secret........ a map that will suprise U all it takes allot of time so i spend more time in mapping texturing modelling..... thats more usefull than talking abouth modding.....

and you should ask your self who actualy visits the most of you all......

i visit this forum allot......... posts dont mean anything


im logged in at least 4 hrs a day on this forum......

to Watch posts, and yes i'm even helping people some times.

Yes guys, it was a bit harsh but... Notice how it went downhill so rapidly?

I only voiced a concern. I did NOT cast a shadow of doom over the idea in general as its a fine and noble task indeed.

I am however a bit concerned because of the direction it went. Yes, I could have remained silent but, I deemed it prudent to not do so.

I actually feel somewhat vindicated because up till now, it was all via the PM's.

I kept quiet about that adventure so, I do have scruples.

Anyway... Onward yo.

im a type of person that likes to put allot of time in mapping......... im a critic person that NEVER release a MAP until its 100% checked and bug free and fully finished.
100% Custom tex 100% own models 100% snd fx..... 100% in SPACE a stunning 3d sky box that will blow your mind no not just a Lazy atempt like a normal skybox texture....... you will actualy have the feeling being in SPACE ....... Usable SPACE vehicles etc....... but im not atending to publish any thing until its finished..... And you will actualy fall from your seat.......

Enough said about project X

I just dont like it when people start to NITPIC....... Good ideas need a warm welcome ...... not digging up things from the past lets keep things fun..........

Poisonic, there's no point trying to construct sensible (*cough*) arguments now. You've already laid down your position before by saying "Nobody likes you". If your idea of usefulness is popularity then you still have a whole lotta stuff to learn about the pit.

Its posts like yours that lead to BS.
To blaintily come out of no where and just say that no one likes you is complete and utter BS.
If you were involved in the community like you say you were, then you should hold an ammount of respect for elders, like orph. Come back and voice your opinion when you have established an amount of involvement in this communuty.

I haven't read through much of this thread but there is some obvious tensiona and I want to point something out here that's bugging me. This Haze fellow says that he owns a company named Encore Games. Yet the link to that website is broken andthe only encore games that exists is Encore Software in the US that makes those annoying casino games. Also if he is supposdly a level designer for a proffesional company I would expect much better work from him than what he is currently showing off (note this is not a direct attack against his mapping skills). Also he doesn't seem to be very knowledgable in the areas to which you are all discussing.

So my point is that this guy doesn't seem very legit. A website that will host all you files for free sounds too good to be true. I'm sure there is probably other sites like this but hosting files for people can cost a lot of money. Money which I don't believe Haze has.

So basically I'm calling him a liar, to put it bluntely. Which would make this thread even more stupid and pointless.

Yeah, that profile is VERY old, my company is called Frozen Wolf, you can find it at www.frozenwolf.com or our online store at www.frozenwolf.co.uk, you can also find my online game at www.kyrule.com / www.kyruleonline.com and my personal website at www.hazesdomain.com or my Deathmatch server at haze.gameservernetwork.com, I would have a domain name for it but if I use the sub domain I get to use unlimited bandwidth as long as its server related. Anyway, first I want to say I am sorry to Orph, its a long story, but I have mood changes and I am on medication for it, I forgot to take my medication that night and as a resault I get very angry to the slightest thing.

Second, yes my website is for real and it is already under construction.

One last thing, Poisonic is really creating a really interesting MOD, I cant tell you much about it but he has invited me to play a test level and shown me some screenshots and its looking very good.

EDIT: One last thing, my company registration number is 5674589 and its registered as Frozen Wolf Limited.

I'm not sure what your point is here, but if you're a young guy, then you should respect your elders. I respect Orph and other wiser members here, and if you're an older guy, one would expect you to be a little more mature.

Secondly, I only hinted as to my troubles with Haze. He is the one who brought them to light within the public forum. I have had trouble with him ages ago and you knew naught about it.

As far as I am concerned, stick your advice where its all dark on your backside.

You sound like me a few years back. I got this huge idea I thought was so cool that everyone would play it. In the interests of helping you to avoid a fall, it's not going to be as cool as you think.

Community support is important, the rest of us out here have a good idea of what we're doing. We can lead a massive hand in both the design, and the look of your project. I would hate to see so much artistic talent wasted.

This is why community sites exist, to aid you. If I had relized this sooner, I would have a whole lot more of my projects finished. My total map profile wouldn't be the pathetic 2 map thing it is now.

Don't stake your rep. on one huge project. Get a balance of good quality maps and a decent quanity of them. 1 map won't endear you to anyone.

As a final note, I wish you good luck. If you decide to continue with your huge project in secrete, I hope it comes out well.

In June/Juli the curtains go up for a first glimp..... I saw much projects for hl2 in the past with a huge media release when there wasnt even a map or a custom tex....... 90% of those projects did not survive..... due a to early media release and since i script texture moddel and map you see its quite time consuming.
