if you're refering to Cantrell, i have never heard her mispronounce the singular so it was probably a slip

David Bowie(Don't flame me, I just gotta be me)
Sloppy mapping
The semicolon, in and of itself, commas are much better
People who hate popular culture, simply because it's popular
The FOX network(wth, man, why Futurama?!)
Disney
McDonalds, Burger King, Fast food on principle

IRT NickelPlate/Cassius
Maybe he's just doing that sarcasm thing <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

add:
How you can't tell whether or not someone's being sarcastic in text.(Subtle sarcasm is wasted on the written word)

Absolutely un-called-for, Cassius. Why would you even say something like that?

ADD:

People who have to put other people down to make themselves feel better about thier own insecurities.

Oh, I'm insecure to the bones - so much so that I'm responding defensively to your accusation of insecurity, with, I might add, tears in my eyes. And in doing so, I only aggravate such perceptions, ill-conceived though they may be. I would argue that citing popular socio-psychological defense mechanisms is an overused crutch in debate, comparable in itself, perhaps, to such a defense mechanism.

And it's because you insulted Orpheus. Yes, I began a sentence with an interjection, as you will undoubtedly reference in your countering reply of corrections to this post, which, you will assume, I took great pains to make lofty in tone. Trust me, though, it's all natural. If I've confused you with this post, I've succeeded. Good game, Nickelplate.

People who say they like/dislike someone/something and still can't manage to spell their name/title correctly. As in, "lolol I love Brad Pit" orrrrrr "lolol I love playing base guitar, it's base-tastic."

Even though I don't have FOX in my country, I totally agree with you about that Futurama cartoon. It should really be shown after 23:00 o'clock. They show that to kids? All that sex talk and everything in that cartoon is completely under-rated.

Another thing i hate:

LISA SIMPSON

I seriously get p****d off when i see my brother watching that.
Ok, i had to get that off my chest, but you can see a lot of things I like in the other thread.

People who place things like their ethnicity ahead of their own humanity.

Soul-less violent acts.

the destruction of innocence in any form

the unbearable slowness of evolution

rappers who refer to themselves as musicians (not counting the few actual talented ones)

The popularity of Michael Bay films(Yes, thats a good one Crono)

traffic

The Bush administration in general

the current popular concept of "celebrity", and awards shows.

reality television(most notably: "doing anything at all" with the stars)

mtv (honestly, I don't get it but I am old now)

driver conflicts in windows.

the cost of living index.

the cost of living period.

stress

toothaches

flakey sub-contractors.

breakfast cereal named after unhealthy foods(like sugar coated waffle-icream candy pops)

and pandering to the masses.

Absolutely agree with these Juim.

PS: I kinda get the feeling fixing the second will fix the first problem too.

Whatever, dude. You're just being an ass. Orpheus is like 43 years old and I assume he can take care of himself and doesn't need to help of some 14-year-old kid who tries too hard to sound smart.

P.S. "and" is not an interjection, it's a conjunction.

  • That ebay advert (the one where everyone is selling what they got for Christmas)
  • <insert Juim's list here>
  • People who discriminate on the basis of wealth (against rich and poor - granted both have their stereotypes, but that still doesn't warrant generalisation)
  • "Friends" the TV series. Sorry, I know I'm in a minority, but with the exception of a few jokes I just don't find it funny
  • Absurd amounts of coursework
  • Bandwidth limits
  • The complete and utter non-existence of decent free hosting (by decent I mean with PHP and MySQL and without adverts)

Neither do I. And I don't like Seinfeld either. The only character I find funny in that show is Kramer.

At least you're through with the whole insecurity standby. I can't really say you did very well in guessing my age, but I appreciate the effort - and, to be perfectly honest, I don't have to try hard. It's very fun for me.

Friendships.. I understood why Cassius posted, even before I got into this thread. Somehow I just knew. On some level, we just connect well.

I really don't want harsh feelings because of me though. If people fight, please let it be for some reason other than one old fool who insist on hanging out with people half his age. People fighting over me is one thing. People fighting because of me... Makes me feel like a.. An asshole.

Thanx Cass.

Why the hell do you come back once in a blue moon to berate other members and cause strife, Cass? The only posts I've seen from you this time around are some pompous comments with no purpose other than to insult. You speak of finding use of the semicolon annoying as it is only serving the purpose of making people look sophisticated; what's the reason for you wording every post like it's your psychology thesis then?

Yeah, a lot of the old timers have gone and new members have taken their place - deal with it. I'm sad to see people go too, but condemning new members simply for being new is just bringing down the tone of the community for everybody.

I'm not really pissed off or anything, (otherwise I'd have added it to my list ;-)
) I'm just confused as to why Cassius felt the need to be so derogatory when everyone else was having a good-natured conversation. Don't worry Orph, no hard feelings. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Doubleyou tee eff, Reno. I was shooting for being ironic and wittily self-effacing - specifically, here
? quoting Cassius
retarded, much like most of the Snarkpit's newbies and younger population; condescending, judgmental elitists
and here:

? quote:
wanton usage of the semicolon to convey sophistication;
So, that wasn't just coincidental that I spoke

? quote:
of finding use of the semicolon annoying as it is only serving the purpose of making people look sophisticated
while at the same time using it to make myself look sophisticated - that was the point. I don't really know Nickelplate. It's just my tendency to defend people I respect.

Personally I took your self-aimed criticisms to be serving the purpose of taking any heat of your other listed hates. Bah, I'm probably just far too eager to spot these things in your posts as, I'll be honest, I've got you flagged for it.

The semicolon comment I just took personally; I love the thing <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">
