Hey, I'm planning to buy the somewhat new/old/whatever XBox 360.

So, i want some equipment with it,
I'm just not sure what i should or shouldn't buy.

You might have some suggestions to what site i should buy from, but i only want to buy from one site, to keep the order simple, so It's limiting the variety of games/equipment i can buy.

Also you mgiht have some suggestions which games i should buy, and which of those i have listed that i shouldn't. (I'm not going to buy CoD2 because t's sold out on the website, and i don't want to wait for ages for it to come again )': )

- XBox 360 Core System (Standard controller, Xbox 360 Console, Standard AV-cable (I don't have a high-res TV, so i don't care), and a faceplate.)

- XBox 360 Harddrive (For saving games, songs etc.)

- XBox 360 Joytech NEO Se Advanced Controller (Its better than the standard, but it's still cheaper... funny)

- Kameo ((A game for XBox 360) Anyone have any short reviews/suggestions/dont't-buy-it-advice? I want to know if It's a good game. Please dont judge it from your on personal taste of games, if you generally don't like games like this, don't tell me not to buy it. Though if you do like games likes this, but still don't think it's good, please tell me (and why!).)

- Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (Pre-order, really looks good <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> Going to play Kameo while waiting for this... Should come the 11'th or 12'th. If you have heard rumors, that it should suck, please tell me, but not just "Hey dude, a friend told me that one of his friends have a cousin who have a stepdad who said...")

Remember, i have to keep the costs low!

I've played Kameo briefly and thought it seemed pretty cool, and the videos I've watched of it also looked pretty impressive, so I think you could do a lot worse than it. If you want some reviews there are plenty around the internet you can check out...

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter is looking very cool in my opinion, and is certainly going to be one of the top games on my list whenever I get a 360.

I suggest you just check out some reviews and gameplay trailers for games to judge whether the game is for you. A great site for free game trailers is...

As for hardware - if you are intending on getting the Hard Drive, then you might as well go with the premium pack from the off I think. In the UK the HDD is really hard to get a hold of, and if you do find it I believe it will set you back at least the difference in price between the core and premium anyway. With that in mind, the premium pack will simply score you some free extras. Don't know if that is the case in Denmark however. To be blunt - there is no chance in hell that joytech controller is better than the official one, but it's up to you whether or not you stick with officials or go for cheaper ones. I've almost never been impressed by a third party controller and so pretty much exclusively stick with official ones, but I guess it isn't you who will be forced to use it most of the time <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

For what it's worth, here's what I'd buy if I could afford it...

Xbox 360 Premium
Xbox 360 Wired Controller (can use it on your PC too <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">)
Project Gotham Racing 3
Condemned
Geometry Wars (Xbox Live Marketplace download)

I imagine that would cost about ?350-?380, depending on whether the shop did any deals on bundles.

What a coincidence, I was about to make this thread, only kinda the opposite.

I got a 360 last night. woo!

I must say, it's friekin awesome. From that, here are my recommendations:

Get the Premium Package (HDD, Headset etc. etc.)

I got the wireless network extension, just for ease.

I got an extra controller, because Xbox is so much more fun playing with others.

In terms of games I got Project Gotham Racing 3. Best game EVER! It's sooo good.

Anyhoo, that's about that. It's worth getting one for sure.

I got the 360 on January 1st (as most of you know). And I must say that the Premium System, with Call of Duty 2, and Xbox Live is amazing. COD2 is amazing by itself. PD:Z is an OK game, DO NOT BUY MADDEN! IT IS HORRIBLE!

I'm lifting my self imposed ban on Xbox so I can get Chromehounds. It's been ages since I've played a game like that, and by all reports its sizing up to be a real winner.
