It is to my belief that World Wind and Earth pull from the same DB. Even if I'm wrong (I have been before), I would still rather see a crisp image from last year then a blurry blotch of colors from yesterday. The below images are taken from roughly the same angle at roughly the same distance from the ground. You can decide which program you want.

But i still love Google earth as a stalking tool. lol. Nah, it's grat to see how roads ACTUALLY curve, when you didn't even realize they did when u were driving on them...

Nickel, you really need to find enough time to run with me for a couple weeks. I can show you places in this here big ol' country that will make your home look like Eden.
Missouri is only ugly up near Iowa. Your piece is fairly nice.

No, I think that my area is REALLY nice, i was talking about the picture quality on Google Earth. THAT is horrible.
THIS is the border of the area I live in. google earth hates me... Not to mention that the photos of my area are from before 1995.

Nickelplate, try going to Plymouth UK to see where I live roughly. I live up and right about 1km from the city centre (the long strip of pedestrianized road.
