Quality sounded fine to me. As I said, MP3 seems to make better/smaller file sizes. I would opt for MP3 at 22050 guys. It sounds perfect for this experiment.

@ Doc.

Yours sounded, like you. Good stuff. How many takes did you do before you chose this one?

I suggest that you not suck on the Mic next time. The air blasting was funny.

[EDIT] Also, think about keeping it "LAME" MP3's.. They seem the most compatable.

andrei, i am impressed....i know americans that have much worse language skillz than you in there native tongue....quite impessive actually...

Better than "Short Dick" methinks. Although, that would take a level of familiarity that I am not sure you are ready for.

Good job ol' man. 2 takes is phenomenal. Took me many more I assure you.

I had my wife listen to mine this morning. She says it sounds like me, but stiff or clipped.

Oh well... Tis me guys.

[EDIT] For those listening to Andrei's version, PFL is for PreFabLand.. A site that in its day was as good as Snarkpit. In a different way but still grand.

/giggles. Listening to him say "Propaganda" was so cool. It sounded like TV movie lines. smiley

I'm listening to some of the recordings now and it's funny to hear man. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I'm currently doing some voice-acting for an example map so I'll just post a link to the (HL) draft version here: virtual tour - volumetric light (1.5 MB). I wonder if I actually pronounce things correctly... <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Here's me. This is very stunted and well spoken.. if you recorded me in the pub chatting with people from the village/city i'd speak in a Derbyshire accent (close to how a yorkshire accent sounds). I might re-record later with me telling a joke or something...

MP3 people, Lame MP3.

Gwils wave file is 1.99 megs unzipped. I converted it to MP3 and its now 742k.

Master Gwil, my disillusionment is still pending. The voice, doesn't match the pictures of you.

I had real difficulty downloading these two files. the links borked a half dozen times before I finally got a good lock upon them. I am finishing Gwil2 now.

Gwil1 was superb.

Funny, the accent disappeared with the cussword. smiley

And Anrei's voice is quite like how I remembered Andrei I and Andrei II, though those where probably other Romanian Andreis... Fun idea actually. image

One of my very best online friends hails from The Nether regions. His name is Bart Schuurman, but his online handle was "Zeddicus"

His spoken english was no where near as fluent as Caps, and Bart had been to the USA a few times.

We used to speak in real time using ICQ, and it was a blast. Sometimes I miss using it.

Andrei, Romanian accents have always been among my favorites.

Captain P, Your english is good. Only one thing to help your accent, words like "actually" and "continually" are really pronounced like "akchuly" and "continuly" other than that, you got it good.

I'm not FROM germany, really, but my family is and we used German at family reunions sometimes. Oma Marie died a few years ago and I never really got to learn much beforehand, but I have been teaching myself with a little help from Crapceeper, so I figured I'd include my German in the thread. I know it's not 100% korrekt, but bear with me... I taught myself after all.
