Although, years back I wanted to find somethon very few people would use. So I came up with y2kBen_2000. Not many people would go by 2 y2k.
But now, everwhere I sign up, I use "Ncyphe" (In-Cyphe) and sometimes "NcypheX". Derived from cypher, but that name was too common, and cyphe felt like a kids nickname. So I thought about it and felt adding an N would make the name sound better. Played Natural Selection one day nad the commander couldn't even pronounce my name. He called me "hey that N-guy."

When I play RTS games I usually go by the nick Wereaser. Something I invented when we had a LAN party with some friends. In CS I've used such names as I LIVE FOR YOUR PAIN!(after a song by Helloween) and Incinerated God Of Deception and recently with CS:S I've been playing with the name Diabolical Cough Medicin.

'fisheye and the egyptians' was my all time favourite band name, though we were never really a real band. i don't know why, but it just sounds so right.

Got pepper from my rabbit as mentioned earlier, but online i tend to go around as The Almighty Snark, as im kind of obssed with these cute little buggers. Also because of my Rush-to-death tactics never work out

It's friendly, not too serious, and no one is yelling at anyone or calling any names. It reminds me of the old SnarkPit I used to love.
I am taking a break at writing my book. I've been at it all day (well, except for an hour this morning playing Counter-Strike).
Anyways, my moniker has a story (sort of). "satchmo" is the official nickname of Louis Armstrong, the jazz virtuoso. I am a big jazz fan. "satchmo" is short for "satchelmouth". When little Louis blew the cornet, his cheeks puffed out greatly like a "satchel". That's how his name originated. In fact, "satchmo" is on all of Armstrong's letterheads.
After reading several of Louis Armstrong's biography, I started using "satchmo" in my email addresses (at yahoo and hotmail). That was before I started playing games.
When I registered for the first online community (at TWHL), it's easy to come up with an anonymous alias. "satchmo" is the most obvious candidate.

Of course now to avoid being called a noob everytime I play CS I use the handle Agent Smith Bob *Huyuck*, implying I am in fact the hick cousin of Agent Smith.

One of my favourites, too - whaddaguy.
Flashman is the protagonist in a series of books by George Macdonald Frazer and one of the great fictional characters. He was a coward and a bully who, through no fault of his own, found himself in the thick of most of the major battles in the 19th.C - Custer's last stand, The Charge of the Light Brigade, The Indian Mutiny, The U.S. Civil War, Harper's Ferry, The Taiping rebellion, The first Afghan war and the Sikh wars among others - a true "anti-hero". Essential reading if you enjoy History and a good laugh.

Haha I bet people would be able to remember your name and be able to spell it if you went with "Abcdefg"
I wonder how many people register a name like that?
