I love the emotion and drama Valve injects into their characters. Alyx seems almost like a real person expressing real emtotions in that video. The drama, just wow, it's like a movie, a good movie.

Man, I hope there will be some enemies you didn't see in HL2. I don't know if I want to fight Combine and Antlions for the 50th time. I like the idea of Valve making their own expansion packs, though. Gearbox is great but Valve is Valve...

Best part about the trailer IMHO: "We'll see about that" I always thought the Gman is pretty cool but he's quite a stiff, noninvolved character. Hearing him flip out is a very nice twist.

Hmm, nice overview of the story so far they give there - I believe its the first time I've seen most of it "confirmed" in quite such a way.

Yeah -- I'll definitely buy this if it comes out this summer, just because I love the HL franchise and story. Marc Laidlaw is a great writer/storyteller.

I had to watch it a few times to make sure, because at first glance they did look like combine.

Doc, I'm getting a little sick of the combine textures myself, but I hope the gameplay is good.

i clearly remember watching the bit where alyx stands on the antlion's neck before shooting it, in some other trailer ages ago. some of the other bits look familiar, too.

Yeah, they did reuse parts of the previous one, I'd say about a third of that vid I've seen before.
