I am, truly.

I had it down to 30k but the damned yellow wouldn't show right/correctly.

I dunno what it is about yellow but XAT failed me.

*whispers*

I do try to set some sort of an example. I am truly sorry.

It's not like any of them are overly large, but I am curious why yours is so much bigger than the others? What did you do differently?

Be overly dependent on XAT?

I dunno bud. For starters, I didn't look at anyone else's so I was surprised when Gwil pointed it out.

My 30k version was dull and blurry.

My un-Xat version was 146k, so... Go figure.

I am curious to know how the others got their yellow so good.

If its a legit method, I would like to add it to the Image tutorial I have... With permission of course.

We just used the png off the site...

You know, the picture it gives you after you generate the cover.

Weird. PNGs are notoriously larger than JPGs.

For the record, I didn't see any link but.. I didn't look very hard. Lesson learned I guess.

Aaaah, I didn't notice the original ones were using PNGs. As reaper said, PNG is great for low colour images. JPGs are really designed for pictures with lots of colour variation, like photos or map screenshots, but for things like this you wanna go with GIFs or PNGs.

Clearly, I am over dependent on XAT.

Its nice to know, since I always heard that PNGs were notoriously high file sizes. Makes sense that they would have their niche since they were created for some purpose.

I don't use them because I was told they are bad.. I must have been slightly misinformed.

As I said, I never looked at the other screens and was surprised when Gwil pointed it out.

PNGs must handle yellow better.

Lesson learned.
