Anybody and everybody ought to check out this video. Its an animation inspired by the scrolling 2D beat em ups that a lot of us will no doubt have fond memories of, and it is just so....wow...that it has to be seen to be believed. Great quality animation and entertaining to boot.

Its 112mb to download by the way.

Funnily enough I watched this last night <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> You can get it on Google Video too I think, just run a search for it - might be considerably smaller (or streamable) than the 112mb one.

Too true though, very cool - I love it right at the start when they roll in with the Datsun, apeing those cop cars you could summon in Streets of Rage. Happy days..

I frickin' loved Metal Slug as a (younger) kid -- thanks for sharing this ReNo.

Also: loved the brief Big Lebowski reference, but I have to admit almost all the other characters and references were unknown to me.

One thing has to be said though: the artist who did this is insanely good and I hope he has a job doing something like this for a living.

I believe he got hired into the games industry due to this video, and you can see why <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> Wouldn't be a huge surprise if he was with the Metal Slug team given the similarity in art styles!

Did I enjoy it Duncan?

I hope so, since you went out of your way, just for me.

Thanx bud. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

The boardroom and big exec with the seven in its head is a reference to a commercial tv station in Australia, who are the embodyment of evil and money-grubbing. The movie was awesome, I too love metal slug, so it was a real trip back.

It was a complete waist of 12 minutes and 8 seconds. So much violence, so much blood, and everything just only because of a lousy woman/girl.

I liked it!

Awesome.

I wish this game existed. Come on SNK get off your asses!

That was seriously fantastic though. Zombies, Metal Slug/Final Fight, Predator, Big Leboski, and Christopher Walken specials. There was some pretty disturbing imagry though. Like, the pregnant zombie women.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Not to mention the fact their trailer for the Perth news has REALLY irritating music and most of the programs on Channel 7 are rubbish.

SBS FTW!
