The Big Rigs Review by Gamespot is the funniest thing I have read in a long long time... if you need some cheap laughs, check it out...

Heheh, I remember that review from a long while back <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif"> What an awesomely bad game that truly appears to be. Take a look at the video review they have posted too - some of the comments sound too bad to be true, but they back it up with video evidence <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

The video of the truck clipping through EVERYTHING is unbelievable.

I wonder if the programmers / design team go home satisfied with their lives/job at the end of the day.

I'm sure they don't care, since they got a paycheck.

Seriously, it's the same avenue as terrible movies .... Why is Willem Defoe in xXx 2? I'm betting it's something like, "Hey, I'd really like to buy that new Mercedes ... Hmm ... I guess I'll do this movie". I think Paul Walker is one of the only individuals to go, "Man, this sounds like a magnificent story, the plot is so thick and intricate ... of course Mr. Moritz I'd really like to be in that car movie". Then I'm sure there's also times like, "OOoo! Money!".

I'm sure they're not losing sleep over it, especially because ... well ... the development coordinators would tell you what to create ... and there are people to test the quality etc. So, they would have known full well. Chances are that game got scrapped a little too early, and the company is trying to cut their losses by lying on the packaging.


Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Speaking of stooping. Have you ever noticed how close rice gets to the floor when you throw it at a wedding?

Its gotta be like a millimeter or so high.

Oh joy, a viciously derailed thread and a really bad trucking game. :P

I'd actually say the textures aren't too bad looking -- but that's it. The trucks are a joke, and the clipping issue absolutely blew my mind. Theoretically, wouldn't it cost more to package out and ship a crap game rather than to just let it die?

The only descent truck game was 18 wheeler; but the huge issue with that was that you could cross-country in about 15 minutes :P



Breaking the laws of mapping since 2003 and doing a damn fine job at it

the designers probably felt disgusted that they were required to make such a game and realized that most gamers wouldn't give a thought to such a horrible game idea
they probably f**ked it up on purpose
