I think it was the logic of the following line that was questionable. "Funny how they were never there till you need them." If you have a girlfriend, how is it that you suddenly need them? I don't think anyone's arguing against the other point, some chicks like the inobtainability thing. Anyone heard the Bloodhound Gang song "I Wish I Was Queer So I Could Get Chicks"?

Edit: Something else while I'm thinking about it. Warlord, you make it sound like supermodels and comely young actresses are extremely rare people that exist only in dreams and whatnot. They're just normal people. And normal people are like them. It is long my theory that there is a significant portion of women that can be drop-dead beautiful if they also had a team of make up artists, a team of fashion designers, a personal trainer, a yoga coach, a dietician, a skilled photographers, and, when all else fails, a team of airbrushers. While maybe as age increases, the supermodels have a comparative advantage, because being hot is how they make a living, there are scores of girls at even my tech college I would consider on par with some celebrities. In other words, not every 35 year old mom of two is going to look like Rachel Hunter (who is still smoking), but there are tons that could stand up against her 15 years ago.

Also, the fame thing sometimes tends to breed bad personalities.
