I'm on a graphic design course and I use eMacs and Mac minis at college everyday I'm working on my final design.

I do like the OS mainly cos it isn't windows and its built off Unix. One thing I dont like about it is when I forget to eject my memory key and it decides to wipe or corupt the files I was working on where as on windows I can just pull it out and its fine.

You can kinda run OSX on a pc aslong as the prosseor supports SSE3 i think it is.

I preffer a PC over a Mac because of the customizability so I can have what I want in it not what someone else thinks I should have, also I can upgrade it to have a better gpu or hard drive with out voiding any warenty.

I can see the appeal for the designer to use a mac over a pc because of apples long reputation with design studios and basically they are the standard in a design studio.

As for the original question about IPod or Zune I'd go for neither I'd rarther have a Zen. I wouldnt go for the Ipod mainly in the previous generations because of there battry life, limit on how many times it ican be recharged and the amount they carged you to get the battery replaced. Now they have apparently addressed the Battery life its manly the price ITunes thats the big thing with me (I dont like that program). I dont like how the Zune aparently wrappes all music in DRM also the price will be a big issue. As for the Zen the only reason I dont have one of those is the price.
