Dystopia's gameplay does have many layers, and the aspect of cyberspace makes the learning curve a lot more difficult than a lot of other FPS games out there.
The New Player Guide, which is now a little outdated, has the basic info about the HUD and explains some of the concepts. This was writted for the demo of the game, however, and leaves out some of the new features in v1. I believe a new guide is being worked on at the moment.
Even once you know what you're doing, the game is still rather difficult. I've been playing the game for ages now, and I'm still not very good at it (I tend to suck even more on my own map, it's terrible D
. I guess the only way to get better at something is to practice a lot. The fact that we have some seriously hardcore players which have been playing since first release and are really good doesn't really help at all.
Anyway, a v1.1 serverside patch is coming soon to fix some issues, which should make the game a little more stable and iron out some minor bugs.
Also, it's nice to know you're enjoying it. It makes the effort of making the game worth it.

The only issues I've seen are door glitches. Often i saw doors overlapping each other and opening in the wrong direction. Or just jittering. In one instance i saw a door open (vertically) and keep going through the building, then it passed out of the building and into the sky. It keep going until it diapered when it passed through the sky box. Not a big deal but i found it hilarious for some reason. What i did notice more though was the overall smoothness of the levels. I haven't seen any lag yet.

The Source engine doesn't really like doors.
" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif"> It is unfortunate, as they're rather necessary in games such as Dystopia.
I must agree though, some of the glitchy doors are rather funny. I once saw someone get squashed by doors which opened the wrong way. Understandably, he was upset, but I found hilarious.
