While this is somewhat off topic, I would quickly like to say that their Doom maps were average anyway. image So there's no need to get goosebumps or worry about it. I played one of them, it was a whole lot of meh, nothing special. Forgot about 1 hour later.

Which map was this? The only less-than-awesome maps he made I can think of were BRICKS.WAD and KILLER.WAD. Hey, STATION.WAD was in AOL's top 25 DM WADs.

Moving slighter closer to the original topic, it is possible that Harris did make a map resembling the school, since 6 of his maps have disappeared since the shooting. They are OUTDOORS.WAD, REALDETH.WAD, TECHOUT.WAD, THRASHER.WAD, ASSAULT.WAD and REALDOOM.WAD.

Better to be in denial than to be human.

Bill Gates understands binary: his company is number one, and his customers are all zeros.

This was a rumor according to snopes.com. Which, albeit being a pretty weird internet website, is an expert on urban myths of this kind, so I trust them.

The German lunatic in Emstetten (I think?) made a CS level of his school, I've seen it on TV (complete with "horror music" in the background added by the TV station and comments from traumatized schoolmates that had no clue what was going on). I'm pretty sure he heard the rumor of the Columbine levels and wanted to copy them to because the media made it look like this was a mandatory part of becoming a super-insane college shooter. Sad. That's what I meant when I talked about self-fulfilling prophecies.

Hmm, me and a friend made a HL2 map of parts of our highshool as a school project. I thoroughly enjoyed showing videos from ingame when we brutally killed zombies and soldiers in our school. Headshots, blowing the zombies in pieces, shoting them when they came crawling towards you, smashing all the windows and furniture.... all good stuff. All accompanied with brutal metal music. I can add that the map was very accurate and everyone recognized the school. More than one teacher watching muttered how violent it was. :P

Well, it's easily one of my proudest creations ever, not just mapping wise. And we won prize for the best project... lucky us it was the students that voted and not the teachers.

Yea, I made one of my school, too. That's not really the point, I think.

I know, I just found it amusing. Guess I gotta go kill some people at my old school now. When we asked for blueprints of the school they were reluctant to give them to us, and joked that we might've been terrorist.
