I hope you didnt come to that conclusion because of the name (American Aviation AA-1 Yankee)... Anywhere in the world, the Cessna 172 is the most prominent airplane. Yankees, there were less than a thousand built in the 4 years it was in production.

According to the company, there were 459 Yankee's built between 1969 and 1971 (although some were built in late 1968 AFAIK)
Cessna 172s, I believe started in 1956. And are still built today. With about 35,000 of them built.

Interesting. I always thought the price of any plane whatsoever would be in the range of a small house. Owning your own plane must be pretty awesome. And, yes, "American Aviation AA-1 Yankee" sounds super-patriotic

Well that plane didnt cost me the price of a small house, but safe to say it cost me the price of a new car. A new plane on the other hand... will cost you the price of a medium sized home.
