Okay so I am tryna' push a map out of the door at the moment but it's not having any of it! I did the brush work in a few days but the entities are playing up like nobodies business! For example I have Combine soldiers set to rappel from underneath a chopper and it gives me completely erratic results without me changing a thing! They are a soldiers height underneath the path_track so that should be enough to stop them from getting stuck. This is just a general rant, this really is so bloody stressful! I have got the ideal picture in my mind as to how I want the battle to unfold but the entities really limit my creative abilities

The entities work, within their created structures, it's simply a matter of learning them properly, usually with a great deal of trial and error, (at least in my case). Perhaps if you posted a more specific problem layout in the editing section you could get more help.

Have you tried Metamucil?

On a more serious note, the entities are pretty powerful once you get used to them. Until then, youll constantly get pissed at how they dont work. Ask questions and keep at it.

But have you ever had to heavily rely on entities on any of your maps?

No, we used the fantasy engine in happyland where there are no bugs and everything's logical and efficient.

Pirate 1 notices pirate 2 next to him has a helm wheel in his pants, says "Ye've got a helm in yer pants!" Pirate 2 replies, "Yarrr, and it's drivin' me nuts."

Sorry.

QFT

I mean, the tfc entity set is pretty damn powerful, but good luck understanding much of anything if you're new to it <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

i had about three completely finished tfc maps that I gave up on cause I couldn't figure out those damn entities. Heaven help you if you tried something more complex than 2fort's scoring system.
