Its called the editing board....use it.

It may work....why not try it instead of asking us which could take ~2 hours to find out, when you can prolly do it in 2 minutes in person!

Because he is my E-mail friend who I can't speak to in person. Also...this isn't a mapping related question.

Then go test it yourself, seriously.

Don't f**king ask for something, and then deny the given answer just because it's from Aaron.

"not taking your word" what the s**t, what else do you want, a video presentation?

1) This still belongs on the editing boards because its a question, and it pertains to mapping computability /end discussion on that

2) Have your correspondent test it out. Its not like if your wrong his computer is goign to blow up or anything, you have nothing to lose.

3) If your going to disrespect people by telling them to f**k off, then your gonna land yourself a ban.

1. Nope, it's not what you say goes you know

2. I don't wanna disappoint him.

3. You've got it the wrong way around. He disrespected me. And I have never got a ban from this website. They don't do bans.

Youre new avatar is refreshing. We needed a purple on this very black, yellow, green and white website.

Where did you pull that one from? (Hint: they do, do bans on this site).

Now, to answer your question.
No, HL2 maps wont work on Ep:1.

But dont listen to the 2 people who have now answered your question, you obviously dont want an answer.

Flynn. I tried to play the map you made for that contest in ep1. The brushes and textures and models loaded fine, but it haulted the storyline b/c it didn't know a command that apparently was in hl2 and not in ep1.

I don't know if this is dis-respectful but I'm gonna take a risk and proceed, the name of this topic suits the following:

Would you rather play a game where on the hard difficulty there are more monsters than easy or where the monsters are stronger on hard than on easy.

Aaron, that has absolutely nothing to do with this topic <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif"> I (somewhat) admire your attempt to recycle the thread, but you're better off just making a new one. And if you do that, I wouldn't recommend a generic topic title such as "Quick Question"; instead actually title it so people know what to expect. For example, something like "Game difficulty question" as the main title and "Increased number of enemies, or difficulty of enemies?" as the subtitle.

But recycling is good for the environment.

Thanks reno.

Sure, Aaron, I'll go with it.

It really depends on the type of enemies, for me. In painkiller, at times there were huge mobs of easy enemies, and they all fell quickly. If they, by themselves, were harder to kill, I would've preferred that to more of them, which would have just been an inconvenience.
But if the enemy is something harder (like those executioners with ovens for stomachs), more of them would've been better than just harder enemies.
